As we age, the chin quietly shrinks back — and it takes the whole lower face with it.

It's one of the most overlooked areas in facial ageing. The chin bone resorbs over time, which reduces projection and makes the jawline softer, jowls more prominent, and the lower face look heavier overall — even when nothing has dramatically "changed."

A small amount of filler placed in the chin can restore that lost projection, rebalance the lower third, and lift the appearance of the whole face. The change is subtle but the difference it makes to overall facial harmony is significant.

You can stimulate collagen. But your body still needs the building blocks to produce it. This is exactly the gap that targeted supplementation fills — and it's why we've introduced Advanced Nutrition Programme to The Face Place.

ANP is an evidence-based supplement range formulated specifically for skin health at a cellular level. Supporting collagen production, reducing inflammation, improving hydration and barrier resilience — and designed to work alongside your existing treatments, not instead of them.

If you're already investing in your skin, this is the next step in making those results go further.

Find the range in clinic at Quay Street and Takapuna, or via the link in bio.

Your skin is thirsty — or is it? There's a difference, and treating the wrong one won't get you results.

Dry skin is a skin type. It doesn't produce enough oil, and no amount of water will change that. Dehydrated skin is a condition. It's lacking water — and it can affect any skin type, even oily skin.

Knowing which one you're dealing with changes everything about how you care for your skin.

Not sure where you sit? Our skin therapists can tell you in a consultation — and build a plan that actually works for your skin.

Skin texture isn’t one thing, so it’s not treated with one thing.

Acne scarring.
Enlarged pores.
Sun damage.

Each shows up differently.
Each needs a different approach.

In clinic, we treat texture with the right combination of treatments.

If your skin feels uneven, this is where to start.

Book a consultation to find out what your skin actually needs.

Men are getting filler too. You just can’t tell.

It’s not about looking “done” - it’s about looking less tired, more put together.

Send this to a man who needs a quiet refresh.

Part 2 - Once we understand why someone’s eyes look tired, the next question is always: what can we actually do about it?

Often it’s not just one treatment. Skin treatments and injectables can each play a role in improving the area.

The important part is that this doesn’t have to happen all at once. Treatments can be prioritised and spaced out, building a plan over time that works for you 💚

23/03/2026

What makes someone look overdone?

Most of the time it isn’t the treatment itself. It’s the approach.

Treating one area without considering the rest of the face.
Adding volume without reassessing over time.
Ignoring skin quality.

Natural results come from having a plan and knowing when to stop.

Book a consultation with our team to create a treatment plan tailored to you💚

"I look tired around my eyes" - One of the most common concerns clients bring up in the clinic.

Treating tired eyes is rarely a quick fix, which is why we often recommend a combination of treatments.

Skin treatments and injectables can each play a role in addressing the concern and achieving a more balanced result 💚

Keep an eye out for part 2 where Janny and Sheridyn talk through the treatments we might recommend.

For the past 8 months, I’ve been part of a small group of doctors in New Zealand invited to trial Relfydess, before its official launch.

During this time I treated a group of patients so I could really understand how it performs. How quickly it works, how long it lasts, and how it compares in real clinical practice.

Relfydess is a next-generation botulinum toxin. Clinical studies show 39% of patients begin to see results within 24 hours, and 75% of patients treated have not returned to pre-treatment activity by 6 months post treatment.

Like other toxins, it works by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles. It may be a good option for patients who want rapid onset for an event within 7 days and for those that travel that don’t want to receive treatment as often.

If you’re curious about whether Relfydess could be suitable for you, book a consultation with our team. 💚

Relfydess® (relabotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription medicine for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet around the eyes in adults. Relfydess® has risks and benefits. Ask your doctor if Relfydess® is right for you. If you have side effects, see your doctor, pharmacist or health professional. You can also report side effects to CARM (carm.org.nz).
