Volunteers Needed – Trees of Remembrance 2025 🌳
We’re looking for amazing people to help at our Annual Trees of Remembrance Fundraiser – our final and very special fundraiser for the year!
As a volunteer, you’ll:

✅ Oversee donations at our Trees of Remembrance sites
✅ Help customers place their messages on the tree
❌ You do not need to ask for donations – customers will come to you

When & Where:
📍 Woolworths South Pukekohe – Mon 24 Nov to Sun 30 Nov
📍 Woolworths Central Pukekohe – Mon 1 Dec to Sun 7 Dec
📍 Pak n Save Pukekohe – Mon 8 Dec to Sun 14 Dec

Shifts:
🕘 9am – 11am
🕚 11am – 1pm
🕐 1pm – 3pm
🕒 3pm – 5pm

This morning we joined the wonderful team at Farmers Pukekohe for the blessing of their Tree of Remembrance, led by Kaumatua Robert.

The blessing marked the start of this year’s Christmas fundraising campaign in support of Franklin Hospice.
From today (13 November 2025) until Christmas Eve (24 December 2025), you can support local hospice care by:
🎁 Purchasing a limited-edition Hospice Christmas bauble for $15.99 in-store at Pukekohe Farmers
💌 Giving a donation and writing a message for a loved one to hang on the Tree of Remembrance in-store at Pukekohe Farmers

Every bauble and every message helps Franklin Hospice continue to provide free, compassionate care to people and whānau across our community.

🏔️💚 Remember Britt — the Franklin local who set out to climb Mt Kilimanjaro?

We’re thrilled to share that Britt Pratten has successfully completed her climb to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro — and in doing so, she’s raised over $6,000 to support the work of Franklin Hospice! 🌿✨

Britt took on this incredible challenge in memory of her dear friend Laura Orr, who received compassionate care from Franklin Hospice. After speaking with Laura’s whānau, the Orr family suggested Franklin Hospice as the fundraising recipient — a beautiful way to honour Laura’s memory and give back to the service that supported them.

From everyone at Franklin Hospice — thank you, Britt, for your courage, heart, and dedication; to the Orr family for your ongoing support; and to everyone who donated to this amazing cause. Together, you’ve helped ensure other local families can receive the same comfort, care, and dignity when they need it most.
