March doesn’t need a big moment—it needs commitment.
Be intentional with how you move.Protect your standards.Choose what actually serves you.Cut the distractions.Show up for your habits.

Halfway through the month is your chance to reset the pace.
Small, consistent shifts now set the tone for everything that follows.

This week we’re breaking down what dengue fever is, how people catch it, and the symptoms to look out for, especially if you or your aiga have been travelling to the Pacific or other tropical places.

Dengue isn’t spread in Aotearoa because we don’t have the mosquitoes that carry that virus - all cases here come from people who caught it overseas. But it’s common overseas, which makes awareness and early recognition really important for our communities.

Let’s keep learning together so we can know, prepare, prevent - for ourselves and our village.

Introducing KNOW. PREPARE. PREVENT.

Our new community health awareness series designed to bring, clear, simple, and trusted information straight to our villages.

In our Pasifika and Māori communities, staying healthy starts with staying informed but health information can often feel overwhelming or hard to access.

Every week, we’ll unpack a different health topic in a way that feels easy, supportive, and ours.

At Village Collective, our purpose is to empower our young people, families, and communities with the knowledge to make strong, healthy decisions.

We’re committed to making health information accessible, relevant, and community-driven.

Our first topic drops next week Thursday: Dengue Fever. All following topics in this series will be posted every Thursday.

We’ll keep this series going for as long as our community needs it - until health and wellness is strong among us, in every village and every home.
