Midwives are still fighting for adequate recognition of the work we do. We love our calling, but we are getting tired of asking to be paid fairly for the responsibility we carry. The push is on for the government to finally come to the party and honour their promises made to us 4 years ago. Thank you to everyone who has already given assistance or pledged assistance for this family. They are extremely grateful for all help that has been given. I would like to coordinate pick up or drop off of items this week please. If you are happy to drop off to me that would be appreciated - my address is 105A Abbotts Way Remuera. Otherwise I can arrange to pick up from you - please let me know a suitable time. We have a truck and trailer available to collect the furniture items if needed.

Furniture still needed is 2 single beds, double bed and a cot mattress (American size I think?? - I can confirm).

URGENT Assistance needed please lovely people.....

Are you able to help a young family in urgent need of household goods and items? My younger son's best friends family lost their house and all of their belongings in a fire on Saturday. Thankfully all family members are safe but they have lost everything. They are yet to be placed in a new home but when they do they will need furniture and household goods. Are you able to pledge assistance with any items please? For example they will need a dining table and chairs, couches, beds and a cot (for the parents, 2 children and a wee baby), linen, kitchen ware...the list goes on!!
At the moment they are OK for clothes but this may change. The children also lost all of their toys, and I am sure they would appreciate a few small items that are no longer played with at your place. The older children are boys who are 4 and 6 years old.
Please let me know if you are able to help this family, and if you could share this message with your own networks it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello lovelies, so my new project is in its early gestational period and I'm excited to share it with you! In August I will be launching EcoMama, an online retail store that will bring gorgeous products to Mama's and their bubba's. Alot of the items will have an organic or natural focus, or just be downright devine, beautiful and functional. So far my brands will include Tula, Manduca, Moby and Aden + Anais. I'll keep you updated as more suppliers are secured!
