Nothing like paddling a waka through a thunderstorm with your workmates to make you appreciate life, and what a fantastic team we have Auckland Shoulder Clinic… not too mention the karakia in the middle of the bay in the middle of the thu derstorm!!! What an expedition…metaphorically all of us in the boat paddling to move forward through good times and more challenging times!!

More shoulder injuries from weight training, which is what we are seeing in the clinic. Nice to help out with this article from RNZ

With an exercise trend towards weight training, especially for women, shoulders and lower backs are proving vulnerable.

We are working with Auckland Bioengineering Institute to investigate shoulder stiffness. If you have had a shoulder dislocation in the last 12 months and NOT HAD SURGERY, and aged 18-30 we would love to hear from you. Stiffness of the affected and unaffected shoulders will be measured by a robot that
applies small shakes to the arm. The study should take approximately (1) hour to complete.
