Gut - Skin Connection: Eczema & Allergy in Kids
Thursday 7 August
7.00pm - 8.15pm

This Thursday at 7pm I'll be hosting another evening workshop at the amazing Kindred Chiropractic clinic in Browns Bay.

This one’s for the parents navigating eczema, allergies, itchy skin, tricky foods...and the overwhelm that comes with it all!
We’ll dive into the root causes of eczema and atopy, including what’s happening in the gut, what food triggers might be playing a role, and how to support healing from the inside out. I’ll cover different types of dermatitis, treatment approaches (both conventional and natural), and simple, nourishing tools you can actually use at home.
I’m so looking forward to sharing some of my favourite foundations for skin health from the inside out. including food, herbs, and lifestyle ideas you can start straight away.
You’ll go home with a handout, a tea sample (The Bee Brew: gentle support for little tummies, also a lovely ritual for tired mums...I am one!), and a sweet lil recipe idea: chamomile and apple gut-loving gummies.

My name is Sam Heazlewood, I am a Naturopath, Herbalist, Mother and many other things.

I graduated from Wellpark College of Natural Therapies (Auckland, NZ) with a Bachelor of Naturopathy and Certificate in relaxation massage in 2015. My love for nature and health started long before that. I am really passionate about helping others toward their health and wellbeing goals and to live healthier, happier lives.

Witch Hazel Herbal Apothecary is a space to share my herbal creations and passion for natural health with you!

Organic Medicinal Loose leaf tea blends: I have lovingly created a range of ORGANIC medicinal tea blends and regularly update this page with new brews! Custom blends are also available. All teas are available by post, I also do regular market days (see below).

Markets: I love getting out there and sharing my brews at local markets..keep an eye out on this page to see where I’ll be next so you can pop down for a cuppa with me.

Naturopathy Services: I am available for Naturopathic consultations via Skype. In particular, I love working with new Mums to promote self-care and help them find balance, energy and nourishment while navigating the huge challenge of Motherhood. I also have a special interest in auto-immune conditions, gut health and hormonal balance. Naturopathy can treat a wide range of health concerns, so please feel free to message me if you would like to book a consultation or have any queries as to how it can help you.

What is Naturopathy? Naturopathy is a holistic, natural and individualised treatment for health and wellbeing. The aim is to promote physiological, mental and emotional balance. As a Naturopath my goal is to provide you with tools for long lasting health and vitality. Together we come up with a wellness plan that changes over time according to your needs and progress. It will involve a combination of lifestyle advice, herbal and nutritional treatment specific to you. I am also able to refer you to other practitioners if needed and can order functional testing if appropriate. We work alongside your other medications and treatments. Naturopathic treatment can take time and commitment so I do ask that you give my suggestions time to work.
