Tuesday Reminder 🔔

~

The overarching message here is that what we look at isn't as imperative as how we look at it 🍃

Our life experience is formed by our perceptions of the world. If you choose to only see the negative in things, you will only see the negative 🌧️

The willing of the imaginable into existence✨

Te pai i whakaarotia kiroto ki putanga mai🍃

“The year end brings no greater pleasure then the opportunity to express to you season’s greetings and good wishes. May your holidays and new year be filled with joy.”

Whether you are on a spiritual journey, a healing journey, a health journey, or another personal journey, you will come across people who simply do not understand. These people can sometimes be the ones closest to you, which can be disheartening and upsetting, and can often create distance between you and loved ones.

However, how much of yourself and your journey you share determines how well others understand your journey. There will be times on your journey when you will not understand yourself, and it goes without saying that others will not either. In this case, you must remain faithful in times of doubt and uncertainty. This is the very embodiment of personal growth.

After all, a journey of discovery and growth does not require you to "get it right" or "make sense." Journeys are seldomly straightforward or direct. In such cases, it is best to keep your journey private so that the true work and value can be appreciated and cherished.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀 is observed in October and aims to raise public awareness of the disease. As 1 in 9 women in New Zealand may experience it at some point in their lives, it is the most prevalent cancer for women in New Zealand.

The likelihood of a therapeutic intervention is significantly increased by early illness identification 🩺 The promotion of early diagnosis through education and screening are the two main parts of early cancer detection.

Early detection is made possible by spotting potential breast cancer warning signals and acting quickly. A significant influence on the disease can be made by raising public awareness of this delicate issue 🤍

By expressing your support and demonstrating your concern, you can contribute. Visit the site; https://www.breastcancerfoundation.org.nz to get involved and learn more ✨

Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) 2022  is here! 🤍🧠

Since 1993, the Mental Health Foundation has conducted MHAW annually. This year it’s from the 26th of September to the 2nd of October. The World Federation for Mental Health supports MHAW, which is recognised throughout the year in more than 150 nations 🌎

The theme this year is ✨Reconnect - with the people and places that uplift you, hei pikinga waiora✨

Since the last few years have been difficult, it's simple to feel distant from the people and places that are significant to us.

You can take part in mHAW 2022 by enhancing your wellbeing with those that uplift you. Whether it's contacting someone you've lost touch with, going to a place that holds particular meaning for you, or spending time outside in nature.🍃

Check out the MHAW 2022 Guide at https://mentalhealth.org.nz/resources/resource/mhaw-2022-guide for daily activity suggestions to help you engage with the theme for yourself, your whanau, school, workplace, or community.

Taking care of yourself is an example of self-compassion and it is not selfish.
~
~
~
Our self-awareness has frequently been suppressed by the COVID experience, and as a result, our wellbeing has frequently been overlooked in the midst of ongoing stress and negative thinking. It could be time to consider your general wellbeing.

The highest level of well-being may make life more enjoyable and assist in overcoming challenges. Being in good health enables us to be the best versions of ourselves.

A healthy spirit and calm mind are fruits for ones wellbeing. It supports our ability to interact with people, maintain healthy relationships, engage in physical activity, pick up new skills, satisfy our curiosity, be present-focused, and serve others. We only have one life, so let's make it count.

Spend some time developing self-awareness, self-compassion, self love, and positive thinking!

Te Reo Māori✨ is one of the characteristics that distinguishes New Zealanders and binds us to our country.

This week is particularly noteworthy because the Māori Language Petition has celebrated its 50th anniversary (September 14th, 2022). This petition gave rise to a number of the kaupapa we have today - including Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.

Māori language week has already begun, but ends on the 18th of September. The initiative "Te Wiki o te Reo Māori," is supported by the government, in which it strives to encourage people in New Zealand to speak Te reo Māori with pride - a bigger drive to revive the Māori language 🗣

Mālō e lelei and happy Tongan Language Week! 🇹🇴

The establishment of Tongan Language Week is quite significant since New Zealand has thousands of individuals who are of Tongan descent.

This year’s theme for Uike Kātoanga’i ‘o e lea faka-Tonga - Tonga Language Week - is: Ke Tu'uloa 'a e lea faka-Tonga 'i Aotearoa, which means Sustaining the Tonga Language in Aotearoa✨
