Roberta never used to run. In fact, she didn’t even like it.
Three years ago, she laced up her running shoes for the first time. Now? She crossed the finish line of a 168km ultra-marathon. The 3rd woman standing, and now ranked 17th in NZ ultra-running history.

This kind of transformation doesn’t happen by chance. It’s built on grit, quiet determination, and a refusal to settle for less.

And that’s exactly how she shows up at work.

Roberta is the kind of teammate who doesn’t need the spotlight. She’s the one who quietly picks up the heavier end of the stick, sees what needs doing, and simply gets on with it. No fuss, no ego, just consistency and heart.

Attending international Aspire conference on endometriosis in Auckland. Presentation by Professor Angela Aguilar made a compelling case that excising endometriosis before ivf harms your fertility.
A good discussions about the value of surgery for endometriosis, ca-125 monitoring and much more. Currently watching a live surgery with life commentary from all attendees, who are mostly surgeons. The opinions are diverse.

While we have seen some of our fertility patients losing the belly fat, we have never advertised acupuncture for weight loss. This new systematic review hights a specific protocol showing significant effect of acupuncture at reducing the belly fat.

Belly fat, or central obesity, is especially concerning due to its association with various health risks. It's linked to increased chances of developing serious conditions such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. This type of fat, unlike subcutaneous fat found just under the skin, surrounds internal organs and can negatively impact their function. It's also linked to metabolic syndrome, a cluster of conditions including high blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol levels. Addressing central obesity is therefore crucial not just for weight management, but for overall health and well-being.

Our professional organizations are in discussion with the Ministry of Health to permit acupuncture in the current alert level.

The information we have received today has been both contradictory and has been changing literally by the hour.
