Prof F**d Nahai was one of my mentors in Atlanta during my fellowship training there. He is one of the most eminent living plastic surgeons and last month came out to NZ as the guest professor for our annual NZ Plastic Surgery Scientific Congress.
I organised a dinner in tribute to him accompanied by other NZ and Australian plastic surgeons who all trained under him in Atlanta, plus the other conference guest professor from France, Prof Emmanuel Delay, who also trained under Dr Nahai.
We enjoyed a fabulous evening reminiscing about our training days and reflecting on how our careers have developed since. We gave speeches in tribute to Dr Nahai thanking him for his teaching, leadership and friendship.

In February this year, Janek was an invited member if the faculty for the 22nd Advanced Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Conference in Melbourne. He presented on breast augmentation surgery and moderated a panel of expect local and international speakers on Breast Cancer related topics.
