It is with heavy hearts that we the Koteka family share the passing of our beloved Father/Papa President Stephen Koteka, who peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on 6th November 2025.

Beloved husband to Lucy Koteka, father to 9 children and grandfather to his many grandchildren.

Dad will be arriving at Te Papalaulelei Tokelau Church at Waitangirua on Monday 10th November and will remain there for the duration of his time with us.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, 10 November 2025, at the Mangere Lawn Cemetery Chapel - 85 McKenzie Road, Māngere, Auckland commencing at 1:00 PM, followed by a private cremation.

Though he had no children of his own, Hale was a father to many — guiding, caring, and lifting up those who were blessed to be under his love and care. His legacy lives on in every life he nurtured, every heart he inspired, and every person who called him family.

Kua hinga te tōtara i Te Waonui-a-Tāne - The Tōtara tree has fallen in Tāne’s great forest !!!

On behalf of the Walters whanau, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father Thomas (Noel) Walters, who peacefully passed Sunday 2nd November.

Beloved Dad to Tracy and Eddy, Tania and Leandro, Nicholas, Mereana, Naraya and Curtis.
Cherished Papa Noel to Corey and Helen, Reid and Nekoda, Dakota and Tyra, Jordan, Havana, Jacob and Austin.
Great Papa Noel to Kayden, Ashton, Jyce and Shay.

Dad will be lying in state at Tipene Funerals until Tuesday morning, with a viewing on Monday afternoon. Manuhiri are welcome to pay their respects between 4-5pm.

Dad will then travel to Papamoa where he will lie in state until Thursday at the Whanau homestead. Dad’s final service will be Thursday at Pyes Pa Memorial Park Chapel, followed by private cremation.

For those who cannot travel to Papamoa and wish to pay their respects while in Auckland, we invite you to farewell Dad tomorrow.

It’s with heavy hearts we share that our beautiful mum, nan, great-nan and great-great-nan, Jeni Kehu Kehu Shedlock-Cooper (née Walker), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 29th October 2025 ❤️ 🕊️

Nan will be lying at Tipene Funerals, 24 Hill Street, Onehunga.

There will be a viewing today, Friday, 31st October from 3–4pm.

She will then make her journey home to Tolaga Bay early Saturday morning, where she will rest at Te Aitanga a Hauiti Marae, Uawa.

Our dear brother Kitiona Paul Leota was called to rest Tuesday, 14 October 2025.

While the heartache is fresh, we remain faithful that God has kept our brother in his arms and will continue to comfort us and all who knew the great son, brother, cousin, uncle and devoted father he was.

In celebration of our brother he will be lying in state at Baptist Church, 4 Resolution St, Lyall Bay from tomorrow, 17 October from 6:30pm where dove of love ministry will also be having their white friday on until 9:00PM all are welcome to join the service.

All are welcome to visit Kitiona from this afternoon until Tuesday, 21 October.

On Wednesday, 22 October we ask that this day is reserved for family only.

Final Celebration Services details:
Tuesday, 21 October - 6:00pm at Porirua Assembly of God Church of Samoa, 43 Castor Crescent, Cannons Creek 5024

Thursday, 23rd October at Whenua Tapu Cemetery at 12:30pm.

Please note there is no funeral service on Thursday, prior to this it will be a closed ceremony with family, but you are more than welcome to join us at the burial at Whenua Tapu Cemetery - 12:30pm.

Following this will be a reception at Assembly of God Church of Samoa - 43 Castor Crescent, Cannons Creek 5024.
