RELAXATION/THERAPEUTIC - Often used to reduce muscle tension and promote feelings of calm and deep relaxation, relaxation massage is known to benefit clients both physically and mentally. Using a combination of soothing techniques, the therapist promotes blood circulation and relieve mental stress. PREGNANCY - Pregnancy massage helps expecting mothers to cope with the changes of their body that occur while pregnant. It can be used to reduce stress, reduce swelling in the arms and legs and relieve muscle and joint pain. Typically, this is a gentle massage that can include many different techniques. LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE - Also known as manual lymphatic drainage, this is a very gentle form of massage used to reduce swelling around the body. This technique involves gently manipulating specific areas of the body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels. The therapist will use this technique to move lymph from the tissues to the lymph nodes, which eases swelling in the tissues. REFLEXOLOGY - Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying different amounts of pressure to the feet, hands, and ears. It’s based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems. It is believed that by applying pressure to these parts of the body offers a range of health benefits.
