Whether you would like support with a health condition, sporting performance, weight gain/loss or improving your feeling of overall well being, adjusting what you eat and aspects of your lifestyle can make a significant impact. No one person is physically, emotionally or socially the same as the next, no experience is the same as another and we need to walk our own path. Effective nutritional advice needs to be individualised as nutrition is not a measurable science, or a one size fits many approach. I believe in empowering people with the knowledge and tools to help themselves. I also believe in a process that will strongly rely on the client to take responsibility for their choices and actions. My job is to support you, give you the knowledge and tools to carry out the change and happily maintain it. The choice is yours

The idea is to invite you to ask questions or voice your concerns in regards to your own health so you know that the information you get is relevant to you. Mae Nutrition will not post regurgitated articles written by other people for the general public, the idea is to help YOU with researched and proven information based on your individuality.

These bikes are top quality, used, and endorsed by the Les Mills cycling team for all of their training videos.

Uttanasana :: or standing forward fold creates a gateway into a space where we are free from restless thoughts and reaction. As we stay in the shape of Uttanasana our internal energy and condenses and builds, we rest in awareness. When we move out of this shape we can create a sense of renewal and regeneration. Forward folds create space between each and every vertebra, increasing circulation to those gazillion nerves. This not only supports the nervous system, but can also relieve depression symptoms and stimulate the liver and kidneys.

There is so much depth to each and every yoga pose, it goes way beyond the simple shape, stretch or strength component.

Yes, yoga poses build strength, they promote flexibility and mobility, the help us to remain healthy so that the layer of dis-ease is less likely to cloud our ability to thrive.

But they also have specific energetic and emotional qualities that support balance in the body and mind.

They are curated with deep intention that predates modern science, but very much aligns with what we now know about the body.

To celebrate International Yoga Day (21 June) and to support a charity dear to our hearts, we are hosting a very special practice of 108 Salutes to the Sun on Sunday June 27, 1pm - 3pm.

At The Space we believe it is every human's right to grow. The Yoga In Prisons Charitable Trust provides tools for personal growth through meditation and yoga, for those that may have never been given the opportunity to thrive. Through reflection and self contemplation, prisoners are supported to enhance their wellbeing, and begin a focus on personal growth that will hopefully inspire change and put an end to the generational cycle of destructive behaviours.

The Yoga In Prisons Trust relies solely on donations.
They are currently rolling out a correspondence course that supports prisoners' self-study. They cover yoga poses and theory, meditation, breath work and philosophy in a workbook format. Many of these ideas are completely new to this group. In honour of sharing the richness of yoga to wider populations we would like to offer our support.

The practice of 108 Sun Salutations itself is a practice of self discovery. The gentle flowing movement between asana (pose) and the linking of breath to movement, deepens our connection to self. It is meditative, rhythmical and can be modified to align with your energy and level of experience. It is an achievement to complete while accessible to varying levels of experience.

We only have limited spaces available, so to book, head to the Events page on our website (link in bio).

It’s finally ready for you !

You can now book online through our website. Here, you can also view the schedule starting June 1st, meet your teachers, and get a free 15 minute consultation.

We’d love you to join us in the studio for a range of free classes across our first weekend : Saturday 5 June and Sunday 6 June. We’ve put on some extra ones for you to sample, so come along to any and all to get the full experience.

This month we will be hosting the free community yoga class from new "The Space Pop Up” studio located at the rear of the building.

I have to acknowledge Tom, Chanelle and the team from Boost for their on going commitment to the wider Matakana coast community. They are good people and genuinely care about the health of us all and that’s why each month they step up and sponsor this event.

So come along to get a preview of our new studio (2 days before we officially launch) and enjoy an easeful start to your Sunday with a 60 minute slow flow class.

9am start - so come 10 minutes earlier to get settled in.
