Outward Bound have some scholarship funding available over summer on their Youth Activate course.

Youth Activate is an 8-day course for rangatahi aged 16 โ€“ 18 years old with a physical disability or impairment and the dates are 5th January โ€“ 12th January 2026.

The scholarships are valued at $3,510 and cover the full course fee for the programme. Here is some more info on the course:

Participants are responsible for the additional costs of transport to Picton for course start and the cost of a doctorโ€™s appointment to get our medical form completed.

They also have some final places remaining on our Activate course between 3rd February โ€“ 10th February 2026. This programme is for adults with a physical disability or impairment (aged 18+).

Outward Bound is fortunate enough to receive support from MSD for this programme, and this funding supports participants with the full course fee, travel and a doctorโ€™s appointment to get our medical form completed (adult Activate course only).
