temperance reversed;;;things are not jelling as they should, or the mix is wrong
STAR TREK TAROT
14 Temperance Major Kira Nerys Intergration Temperance is the consolidator, one who mixes two substances to make a third. An angel puring the stuff of life back and forth from the unconscious to the conscious.Measuring, balancing, arbitrating, go-between. Balance the needs of the spirit with the needs of the flesh. Conscious with unconscious. The act or motion of integration that is important. It is time to pay attention consciously to certain experiences – to pour them back and forth that they may be re-energised, re-understood, given new meaning.
Harmony, co-operation are called for. Mixing, successful union.

Reversed Fragmentation
Attention to experience is not now necessary. Life can be sustained for a while without deliberate efforts to integrate. More input is possible without reflection, but fragments of experience cannot remain too long unattended or they will claim attention in explosive ways.
The querent is in a period of activity, of external and probably fast-moving functioning. There is no danger at this time or need now to stop and assess. For a while fragmentation is tolerable.
There may be some inability to work with others which is blocking achievement. Groups or individuals that thought they could work together effectively do no mix after all.
Disunion, quarreling, inability to work with others. Conflict of interest, competing interests.
Major Kira Nerys is Temperance because she was a member of the Bajoran resistance against the Cardassians. She is now stationed on Deep Space 9 to work with Starfleet personnel, Cardassians and Bajorans. Kira often acts as mediator between the Bajoran people and Captain Sisko and the Cardassians. Major Kira has a deep faith is the Bajoran religion, she is like an angel to the personnel of Deep Space 9 doing her best to balance religion and politics.
Her background is the Bajoran wormhole which in itself is a balance between natural forces and the being within it. The Cadassian symbol and the Federation symbol indicates the two political forces behind her and the scene in the foreground of the lost city of B’halla which represents her religion and Bajor. card of the day; 8 Starfleet= messages, fast messages, maybe from across water
8 Starfleet Uhura, Kirk, Enterprise A Psychic Communication also, High Velocity Energy Some important communication is ready to be expressed from an unusual source. Forces are moving that will significantly influence the querent’s life. This may bout of the past, the culture, the family. The querent may be unconsciously preparing to make contact with a person or a group that will be important to them. A high energy period favourable for initiating change, or a time of movement and change requiring high energy expenditure. Movement, fast growth, hunches. Reversed Blocked Energy also Wasted Energy Blocking psychic energy. Lack of communication. Bad timing. The querent, or one near, may be too involved in daily survival to listen to important matters. Rushing into things which undercuts success.
Impetuous action which undercuts success. Stagnation, delay. Captain Kirk communicates with Lt Uhura , the communications specialist, on the Enterprise. Kirk uses his communicator which reaches through the atmosphere to connect with the starship. Uhura hears the captain on her ear mike, like a psychic communication. The background is the planet

Card of the day; Devil= chained or restricted again.

15 Devil Gul Dukat Bo***ge The Devil is the opposite of the Magician. The Devil divides, destroys, deceives, he likes to play one off against the other, to act as a puppeteer and pull your strings to see how you dance. He offers pleasures of the flesh to the disadvantage of the soul. The chains or strings the Devil uses to bind you are loose, you can remove them at will. The Devil binds with the chains of habit.
Self destructiveness. Bo***ge to the material. Subordination. Evil, sa**sm, weird experience.

Reversed Recognition of Bo***ge
Desire for freedom from some unconscious or unacknowledged painful condition. The present is seen in perspective and is linked with the totality of the querent’s experience. A circumstance is understood, a habit broken. Something though to have been “choice” is understood to have been “conditioning”.
The querent or one near understands some aspect of the self that has chained them to a destructive practice. There may be some breakthrough in sexual experience of in the understanding of violence. A reconciliation with time, perhaps even with death. A vision of release.
Release from bo***ge. Overcoming the fear of one’s own self. The beginning of understanding.

Gul Dukat is the Devil incarnate. Dukat tries to offer Kira and the Bajorans all sorts of things to gain access to the Wormhole. He will even make a deal with the Pah Wraiths to get control of the Wormhole. Gul Dukat even tries to make deals with Starfleet and Sisko to gain control back of Deep Space 9 (Terok Nor). Gul Dukat will even play the Bajorans against Starfleet to gain access to Bajor, the Wormhole and DS9.
Card shows Kira Neyrs on Gul Dukat’s right and above her the Bajoran Wormhole. On Dukat’s left is Sisko and above him is Deep Space 9. Between them both is a Cardassian symbol that paradoxically links them, yet separates then.

Card of the; 7 Starfleet (reversed); You against the many.
STAR TREK TAROT
Seven Starfleet Voyager meets the Borg fleet Individual verses Group. Also Taking A Stand A single entity is defending itself against others. The need to rebel against being made invisible, or feeling insignificant. Rebellion against the pressure from the group for the individual to accept an internal dominant ideology. The defender may be attacked because it is thought that he/she is pushing their own selfish ends to the detriment of the group or that they are being deliberately disruptive. The querent may need to stand ground against the attack of the group. Also crystallises at time as an interpersonal struggle between the needs of the self and the needs/demands of others. The querent has the upper hand in a struggle.
Reversed; Intangible Fears The individual, for some strange reason, fears the group, or the group, for some strange reason, fears the individual. Latent rather than overt insecurity in a group situation. Lack of clarity about motives or about the behaviour of members in one’s group. Perhaps false fear of group attack or an ungrounded suspicion of an individual’s selfishness, or questioning of motives. Hesitation in the face of opposition brings failure. Caution against indecision. The starship Voyager is surrounded by Borg cubes and will have to use everything they have to outwit the Borg fleet. To survive this situation, there must be no hesitation or indecision.

card of the day: Knight of Lirpa: Everything happening too fast. Now or never.
STAR TREK TAROT
Prince Lirpa Sybok of Vulcan Hasty Revenge or Thoughtless Action The established order responds in a hasty and violent way to some action on the part of the people or someone disempowered. An unnecessary display of strength, paranoia, vengeance. Tilting at windmills like Don Quixote. A braggart soldier, rattling swords, making bold threats. Hasty action. Responding hastily to some enraging circumstance. A white knight dashing across open country on a mission of grave import. The Prince/Knight is courageous, strong, highly skilled and at their best in a difficult situation. This card indicates the approach of battles that must be fought and enemies who must be defeated by strength of arms.
Tyranny over the weaker. A person always ready to start a fight. Prone to look to violence for solutions. Fierce in action, but little staying power.

Reversed Calculated Tyranny
Cool and calculated retaliation. Quiet power. Patient insidious moves. Either the authority or the querent schemes carefully over an extended period of time in order to “set right” some “insubordinate” action. Possible that someone closely associated with the querent is capable of such action.
The justification for the action may be that it is for the victim’s own good. Some move to convert rather than to conquer outright. Colonisation as opposed to military invasion.
Heroic action, martial bravery. The archetypical warrror. The coming or going of misfortune. A card of vengeance through action.
Sybok is the Prince of Lirpa because he pursues his obsession finding the holy planet Sha Ka Ree. He can heal the hearts of people. To fulfil his plan to find Sha Ka Ree Sybok will stop at nothing. When he finds the planet and he discovers the energy being is not "God", Sybok is devastated. He has spend his life in pursuit of a false dream, but when he surrenders his life to save others it proves his strength of character.

Card of the day; King Bat'leth; Business starting slowly. Be careful not to rock the boat. Be wise.
STAR TREK TAROT
King Bat’leth K’mpec Father One of the few male figures in a suit expressive emotionality and self awareness; it thus suggests the presence of a man or men who could embody those qualities. The man within the querent’s history and within themselves who functions as protector, provider, intellect and judge. He is whatever the querent’s father as been or is. A man of ideals, liberal, considerate, idealistic. Willingness to accept responsibility. Power achieved through the use of the mind, creative, intelligence. Reversed Refusal of the Father Rejection of the father or of the internal qualities associated with father. The querent may question the usefulness of fathering altogether. May wonder if their own father like characteristics come from nature or from conditioning. The need to deal with some negativity of relationship with one’s real father, either in the present or the past. A violent man underneath a calm exterior. Ruthlessness irresponsibility. Hypocrisy, dishonesty. Former leader of the Klingon high council. K'Mpec was responsible for ther discommendation of the house of Mogh. Accusations by the Klingon House of Duras brought to light suspicions concerning Klingon aid to the Romulans during the Khitomer attack. Investigation by Ambassador K'Ehleyr revealed that Ja'rod of the House of Duras was actually to blame, but K'mpec decided that to reveal treachery in such a powerful house would lead to civil war, so the House of Mogh was officially blamed.
K'mpec was poisoned, probably by Duras, who sought to succeed him as council leader. K'mpec chose Federation starship captain Jean-Luc Picard as his arbiter of succession, knowing he would remain impartial. His skills are Leadership, Law, and Diplomacy. Law is especially needed amongst Klingons. All in all, K'mpec is a good Klingon who reports for free, has good dilemma and mission support skills, and has his very own ship. Long live Chancellor K'mpec!
Missions K'mpec can solve by himself (skill-wise): K'mpec is the first Klingon Chancellor that we ever have the pleasure of meeting. In The Next Generation, he shows us what has happened to the purity of Klingon Honor: he is fat and barely holding onto his title as leader, while Duras and others are nipping at his heels. However, to his credit, he is willing to do whatever he feels is necessary to preserve the Empire.
K'mpec is a VIP with Chancellor and Klingon High Council in his lore--it's always good to have another Klingon ready to report for free. He has the command star, which is suitable for the leader of the Klingon Empire.

Card of the day; Hermit; going alone. shining a light for those who follow.
9 The Hermit Spock
Self-search
The Hermit has been alone on the silent mountains of abstract thought. He has carried with him the lantern by which others may be guided to their own wisdom. He both seeks and has found; he has the sense of having been found. He is without arrogance or egotism.
The querent or one near her encounters the expert seeker and giver of intellect, knowledge, learning, the teacher of the meaning of both silence and sound. Possibly a journey to get to the teacher.
The Hermit knows all. He represents self-illumination, vigilance, the wise one, the silent one. The guiding hand of aged wisdom, grandparents. The Seeker of truth. A time to retire to think and plan. To find the path by the light of truth. Withdrawal for study and contemplation may be necessary.
Wisdom is offered, Silent counsel. Discretion, vigilance.

Reversed Dilenttantism (Amateur Dabbling)
Wisdom is rejected. The querent shies away from solitude, knowledge of sound and silence.
Imprudence, foolishnes, immaturity. Reliance on one’s own inadequate knowledge when advice is offered.

Spock, through his Vulcan upbringing is the Hermit. He is calm, controlled and all-knowing.
Spock's background scenes: the pathway with light shining on it is the path that is followed to achieve self-illumination. The pyramids are silent, yet they hold the knowledge of the ages. Stonehenge and sunrise represents the dawning of a new phase of learning. The tree is bare to symbolise winter and the feeling of loneliness when following a path of your own choosing. The overall red tone to the card is the red light of Vulcan.

Card of the day; 5 Starfleet; arguments. Everyone has their own agenda and each is right in their own way.

STAR TREK TAROT
Five Starfleet Kirk and Checkov Internal Strife The officers of the Enterprise are turned against each other instead of being directed outward toward the common enemy. They move in all directions, in contrast to the other cards where they are all directed one way.. The querent is participating in or affected by rumours, gossiping, backbiting, self-aggrandisement, power-tripping, passivity, dishonesty, jealousy, competitiveness, trashing, anger, and pain. The conflict can be internal or external. Strenuous competition. Conflict which is unavoidable. The prize will have to be fought for. Opposition. Reversed Temporary Peace Tentative quiet. A lull before the storm. Suppressed feelings in order to get the job done. The querent may be in the midst of unexpressed hostility. Perhaps an explosive situation. Possibly a card of coalitions, working with other groups for mutual goals. Disputes, litigation. Victory after overcoming obstacles. In this card, Captain Kirk is held hostage by a crew turned mutinous in the Alternative Universe. The Captain and his crew are each trying to control the Enterprise. There is much hostility and conflict.

Card of the day; Queen Lirpa (reversed). The Queen of Swords reversed very often can point to a woman in your life. She may not be a kind person, and may well have dark hair and/or dark eyes. You will want to stay on her good side if you can. She may (sometimes without realizing it or without meaning to) block important things from getting accomplished.
General: In general the Reversed Queen of Swords can indicate stumbling blocks; these are most often created by other people besides you but occasionally refers to those which you are creating. Do you behave in ways that people find abrasive? Are you shooting yourself in the foot without realizing it? If you don't know, ask someone you trust to be honest with you.
STAR TREK TAROT
Queen Lirpa T'Pau of Vulcan Patriarchal Woman One who believes in individual power and the virtues of patriarchal tools. An academic woman whose mastering of male models and process threatens to cut her off from other parts of herself. A woman in a man's domain. She has suffered loss and privation. Is quick witted, perceptive and subtle. She is dangerous. The Queen can elevate (knight) a person with the flat of the sword blade, but can also cut a person down with the edge. Super bitch. Sometimes the divorce card. She is also highly intelligent, has a complex personality and is concerned with attention to detail and accuracy in all things. She is alert to the attitudes and opinions of those around her and skilled at balancing opposing factions whilst she furthers her own schemes. She is self-reliant, swift-acting, versatile and inventive. The Queen can be dangerous when crossed.
A woman who suffered loss and privation. Quick-witted, perceptive and subtle. May signify mourning, absence.
Reversed Late Bloomer
The older woman who changes her life after years of supporting the system. The radical turn of events that transforms a value system or all behaviour patterns is the more striking because of her age.
A woman integrating herself, touching emotional and intellectual reality, psychic and material worlds. Changing woman.
Somehow she touches the querent’s life or is a part of the querent’s self, particularly as the querent examines the subtleties of their own oppressiveness of class, race, able-bodiness, sexual orientation, age, human arrogance.
This is a bridge to the suit of bat’leths.
A narrow-minded, deceitful and malicious woman. Unreliable, but with a good exterior.
T'Pau is a high-ranking official, a cultural purist and a keeper of her race's ancient traditions. She is a woman of enormous stature throughout the United Federation of Planets and the Vulcan home world. She has an aura of authority, penetrating wisdom and insight and utter conviction surrounding her. To many people T'Pau herself is indistinguishable from the very idea of Vulcan logic, a pure personification of all that is peaceful and civilized about this great race. The background to T'Pau's card is the ceremonial ground on Vulcan where Spock's Koon-ut-kal-if-fee (marriage ceremony) is performed.

card of the day; Fool (reversed); Now is not the time to do anything foolish.
STAR TREK TAROT

0 The Fool Captain James Tiberius Kirk
Naïveté
The journey, task, challenge begins. Motivates. He represents new optimistic beginnings, experience and adventure that add up to wisdom. Experiencing the world without the self-consciousness that often blocks enlightenment. Innocent trust of people and situations. The Fool is an outsider who is mocked and laughed at The Joker's luck depends on your game. One's self shows up anywhere, proceeds to step over the abyss, into the unknown, and always finds new worlds spring into manifestation. The Fool also symbolizes the end of one path and the beginning of another. An important choice is to be made.
Venturesome quest. Spiritual innocence containing within it cosmic wisdom. The dreamer confronted with choices.
Zero represents the circle of eternity. Zero is the circle whose point is everywhere, and whose circumference is nowhere

Reversed Reluctance
Not yet ready to make a beginning. Ill-prepared even to risk the experience of learning. The time is not right for some new enterprise or undertaking. Major problems will be created by impulsive behaviour. Fear of the future. Inability to take a risk.
The querent or one near may be too self-conscious to act spontaneously.
Thoughtlessness, carelessness, folly, inconsiderate or unconsidered action.

Kirk is chosen for the Fool as he is an adventurer, always finding new worlds, new life and pushing the boundaries of Starfleet. He steps onto the transporter into a new adventures As Captain of the Enterprise, Kirk is constantly faced with making choices between the Prime Directive, the welfare of his crew, the structural integrity of the Enterprise and the myriad other things a captain must do. He boldly goes where no man has gone before. The Enterprise is the vehicle that takes him to new worlds, experiences and challenges. The Enterprise contains the worldly possessions of its Captain and crew, rather like the Fool in the Rider Waite pack, who carries a sack of his worldly goods. The Enterprise also represents Starfleet, the Federation, Law and Order, Conscience. The edge of the world is shining with the light of new wisdom. Wisdom which is gained through experience. The world is round, representing Zero. *The name James Tiberius Kirk has many meanings; Kirk is a Scotch word for church and evokes the array of laws by which social institutions such as the church have traditionally regulated the self. His middle name, Tiberius, is a first-century Roman emperor known for his excesses and debaucheries. The name James means May God Protect, or the Supplanter.

Card of the day. 8 Lirpa; Between a rock and a hard place. Most of the grief is behind you, but there's some more in front.

Eight Lirpa Spock on the Plateau of Gol Imprisonment The querent is bound, abandoned, alone, eyes downcast, not seeing the surroundings. This is either a direct consequence of the querent's actions, or a way of making the querent an example. A feeling of being trapped, immobilized, bound by a situation in which the querent feels lost or out of control. Energy wasted through indecision. Restriction or imprisonment through indecision. This card is related to the Devil. Restriction, major difficulties, enforced isolation and adverse circumstances dictated by fate. This card appears on the surface to be very unfortunate in meaning, yet serves to indicate that a cycle of adversity is coming to an end and that changes for the better are already operating in one's life, but this is not an automatic process; opportunities must be grasped.
Shortened force. Energy wastage through indecision. Restriction or imprisonment through indecision.
Reversed Reprieve
Resistance to condemnation, fighting against it. Freedom from imprisonment. Escape from passivity and death by ingenuity and determination.
Some individual action taken against the institutions that physically abuse people
The drive the self-preservation combines wit cool-headedness to allow the querent or one associated to sidestep a perilous situation. A desperate embrace of authoritative methods, perhaps even violence for one’s own survival.
Release from restrictions, from fear.
A contemplative Spock stands alone in the study area of the arid Plateau of Gol. On these sands, the ancient Vulcans cast out their base emotions in the ritual of Kolinarh. In the background are five Lirpa. To Spock’s right are two Lirpa and there is one in front of him. His hands are clasped tightly in front and he appears to be gazing at the Lirpa in front of him. The interpretation; there are many problems in the background behind the querent, less in the present and only one complication in the future to deal with. Spock stands with his hands clasped, unwilling to go forward to the perceived danger, yet unwilling to leave the past behind. their planet and environs.

card of the day; Strength (reversed). We have lost our strength or resolve. The beast is loose.
8 Strength Doctor Beverley Crusher
Courage
The Doctor holding the Trill symbiot suggests that power and dominion are not the issue at all. The strength shown here is not so much a matter of “taming” the “lower nature” so much as bridging spirit (person) and body (Trill), relating to non-human forms in caring ways and working with nature and the material world. Strength comes not from the discipline of inner weakness (as with the Chariot) but from steadfast adherence to a principle or from strength of inner conviction and harmony with the natural world.
Strength overcomes fear with love and kindness. You may have the quiet strength of the Doctor when treating the injured, or you need to be strong in your faith when you are opening yourself to others, or putting yourself in someone else's hands.
Triumph of love over hate. The courage of convictions. Reconciliation with an enemy.

Reversed Alienation, also Lack of Conviction
Discords, strife with nature and materiality. Even cruelty or neglect of animals. Not enough attention to surroundings, to little things.
Weakness, a failure of nerve. Lack of faith. Fear of the unknown in ourselves.

Dr Crusher's role as a medical professional gives her courage to face new dangers and life forms. As a doctor she has a deep moral conviction, she has control, confidence and radiates a calm capability.
Beverley's calm confidence and ability to show love and kindness is illustrated here. She is carefully inserting a Trill symbiot into Jonathan Riker. Both Riker and the symbiot trust the doctor's skill. The green background to the card is the colour of healing and the yellow cross is for the channelling of healing from a higher power through you.
