So go create a beautiful garden, wherever you are and whatever the conditions. There is always a way.

The Shazdeh Garden is a princely Persian garden located south-east of the city of Kerman, in the heart of the arid desert of Iran.

Literally “Bagh-e-Shahzadeh” means “Prince's Garden” because it was Prince Mohammad Hasan Khan Qajar Sardari Iravani who built it in around 1850 and was then extended and completed by Prince Abdolhamid Mirza Naserodollehand in 1870 during the 11 years of his governorship in the Qajar dynasty.

It is a lush garden consisting of a wide variety of pines, cedars, elms, western planes and fruit trees that benefit from the ideal properties of the soil, light breezes and water.
The whole is a heavenly environment that contrasts with the extreme dryness of the surrounding desert environment in which it stands out as if by magic.

But it's not magic, the water that irrigates the Shazdeh Garden comes from the streams that originate from the mountains and is channeled through the ancient irrigation technique called Qanat which consists of a complex system of underground channels.

Thanks to these channels, the water enters from the upper part of the enclosure and collects in the swimming pool in front of the residential pavilion.
From here it is redistributed to the different fountains and different areas of the garden thanks to the slope of the land and the jumps of the steps that make it slide downhill in a natural way.
And it is precisely this slope that has allowed the existence of the oasis in the heart of the desert.

And this perfection has led it to be one of the 9 Iranian gardens registered in the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List.

I feel this quote sums up my journey at NZ Spirit Festival. Thank you to Franko and the team for putting on such an incredible gathering.

At Spirit of Man circle at Mana tent, creating harmony in the hearts of Men, we whipped up an absolute storm of masculine energy. Dan Abdelnoor, Harlem, Franko Heke & Stephen Blase, to all of you I take a deep bow of acknowledgment and gratittude. For that to be the first time we have worked together as a group and to offer as we did, was truly incredible.
Such ease, flow, grace and power, it was divinely guided and a true honor and pleasure to serve alongside you Kings.

Down to Earth A Journey for Men was also a great success. Digging the spring of our hearts, letting the water and spirit flow. A space for men to integrate a powerful morning of moving a huge amount of energy. Men lay on the earth, in devotional prayer, letting go of what they no longer wished to carry.
It was a safe space for men to meet and share their feelings, their courage in vulnerability and allow emotions to rise to the surface. With new awareness they were able to gift them back to the earth, knowing that Papatūānuku (Mother Earth) would eat it up and transform it into the abundance of beauty we see all around us on this planet.
