Tula offers affordable massage for women:
$60 for 60 min full body massage
$35 for 30 min Indian head
$60 for 60min reflexology
$85 for a 90min treatment

I have started Tula massage in Birkenhead as an affordable massage option for women. I have been a qualified massage therapist and reflexologist for almost 14 years. I am based from home in what I hope is a relaxing and non hurried environment. I work mainly during the day but can do evening and weekends by arrangement. I can tailor essential oils to suit your requirements such as uplifting or relaxing. I also do Indian head is a speciality of mine and it's a wonderful treatment to receive.

My last working day will be 23rd December. And then apologies but I won’t be back until March 1st as my mother is coming over from the Uk for January and February and will be celebrating her 80th birthday whilst she is here. As this will be her last visit to NZ I want to travel around with her and make it really special. Thanks to my lovely clients for supporting me again this year and have a wonderful Christmas break and family time x

Just letting all my lovely clients know that my last working day this year will be Monday 27th as I am headed back to the Uk so spend Christmas with my family.

I had a client today who hadn’t been for a while! She actually wondered if I was still in business as I haven’t updated my facebook for a while!

I can happily say yes, Tula massage is still going, my snuggly room, is warm and cozy with fluffy blankets and the relaxing smell of essential oils, calming music and the natural bird song (or rain 😂) makes for an even more relaxing experience or at least takes your mind off it if you need a deeper tissue experience.

Hello lovely clients, I have recently completed and passed with distinction (yay) a Uk Qualification In Functional Stretch which incorporates some massage. This is done on the floor or on massage table depending on need. Its not like a normal massage it’s done fully clothed and you are in some cases required to hold an area of your body so we can fully achieve the stretch or so I have a free hand to manually manipulate the relevant muscle to relax or trigger point. It’s not classed a relaxing treatment but it does relax! I am wanting some volunteer clients (treatment is free) I need people with ongoing issues such as chronic lower back issues, pelvic floor issues including endometriosis or Adenomyosis ( implants may be an issue but talk to me if you have one) really tight hamstrings and hip issues. I will need you to be available for a few complementary sessions at least once a week for a month. So please only let me know if you fit this criteria and may take a bit longer as I settle in to my new thing!

My Great Grandfather W. Burns Lingard was a medical herbalist. He wrote this wonderful book which was published back in 1958. He was still working at the age of 73! The book is fascinating and still holds many of the recipes that modern day herbalists use. I always knew he was a herbalist but going down my own holistic journey I now realise where some of my passion for the natural remedies comes from! If you want me to look up an ailment and the remedy he created let me know 😊

Hello lovely clients,
I have been needing to do this for a while, but then Covid hit and it didn't feel right. I think we are now fairly settled again so I am finally changing my prices. I have been the same since I opened nearly 5 years ago. Its not a huge increase but I don't want the increase to be a reason that you stop coming to see me so if you have any concerns then please do talk to me. I know sometimes the people who can't afford a massage are those who need it most which is why I priced myself low to start with. If you have already made a booking in advance, don't worry as your old rate will still apply.

So, from 1st April

30 mins will be $35
60 mins will be $60
90 mins will be $85

Having looked at various other rates in the area, these are still very competitive, so I hope it doesn't put you off.
