We leave today! It’s been the most magical holiday and if Thailand is on your bucket list, we'd definitely recommend!

Top tips - definitely hiring a car, it’s given us so much freedom. Our resort, we’ve been totally spoilt. Getting some clothes made in Patong, Tom from Best Tailor in Phuket, he is the best!!

Scuba Diving yesterday was amazing, we booked with Merlin Divers in Kaalam Bay, totally recommend, we just did the half day.

The elephant sanctuary was a highlight, and having a local massage (be careful where you choose, you might get more than a massage 🤣).

Pina Colada’s at Sunset, and the swimming, the warmth of the water is literally insane, there’s just no reason to get out!

Sunset point at Prompeth the Cape was magic, and stopping in a few of the beaches along the way.

Phi Phi island trip was super chaotic and busy, but also incredible to see the crystal clear waters!

We’ve loved the warmth, the craziness but then having our resort to retract to, the food, oh the food and how cheap it is, we sometimes at a the local of locals $3.50 per meal) and funnily enough, the best food we had was at the Old Town Phuket markets - crazy busy but so good!! The shopping has been great, definitely would recommend Malaysia over Thailand for what we’ve found here though – but the markets in both countries are awesome!!

A busy but really relaxing holiday at the same time, we feel like we've really maximised it and made the most of our time here. NZ, here we come!

We’re now in Patong Beach, Phuket… we think we got upgraded because we certainly didn’t book a pool room, but what a gorgeous surprise! Definitely a step up from our accomodation in KL, that’s for sure! 😉 That certainly wasn’t worth writing home about.

Still the same craziness, and driving is a tad alarming having hired a car, but gives so much freedom!! We’re having a couple of quieter days, then exploring some more.

Totally open to any recommendations or must do’s here… 🤞Kent ate at a local eatery yesterday, it cost $4!!

There’s some interesting food here!! Imagine what a mango sticky rice shake would do to your blood sugars!!! Haha… I know, I’m on holiday and it’s probably really good!!! 😂

Day 2 in KL.

We've learnt that the inner population is 2 million and 8 million in the surrounding area of KL which makes complete more sense!

Today we did the Botanical gardens, China town (nothing like a bit of bartering which is always a bit of fun!), local eateries (we love eating as authentic as possible), some more shopping, some local sites and back to Jalan Alor for Lime Chilli steamed fish, buttered prawns, coconut and mango ice cream for dinner.

At 34 degrees, it was pretty brutal at times so definitely welcome the air con!!

It's a gorgeous city, but like anywhere, there is disparity in wealth. ❤️

Day 1 in KL. Man it's hot!! Super muggy yesterday at 35 degress!!

A HUGE city but super interesting to learn it only has 2 million people here, compared to Auckland it’s enormous!!

A great vibe, LOTS of malls and shopping, getting around is super easy using Grabs, loads of food stalls and markets.

We did the Batu Caves, Petronas Towers, Jalong Alor food market, a bit of shopping (and I found a Uniqlo & a matcha ice cream so I was super happy!!). LOADS of walking!!! Off to the botanical gardens and china town today! Let me know if you've got any must do's if you've been here before!

Two bowls?? Say what??? Yep, if you've been waiting for this to come up, now is it, but it's short and sweet, only until the end of the month!

I could have definitely used a second bowl over the weekend to:
👉 Make my almond meal when I forgot to do it first for the bliss balls!
👉 To save me time when I had so much cooking to do!
👉 To make the bechamel sauce for the lasagne I made!
👉 So I can have one cooking and the other prepped for the next step
👉 Because I just couldn't be bothered washing one all the time!

For only $199, you can add an extra bowl to your order (plus you can add an extra 3 year warranty for only $99 (normally $299) plus you get an extra blade), amazing value!

And last but not least, we've got 24 months interest free coming back so we've got all the things to make it super easy to get one of these incredible tools on your bench!!

Let's chat. x

I desperately needed a second bowl today! I was making a quiche which called for brown rice flour and my larder was bare. So I had to get my TM6 out and make it separately. Had I had a second bowl, it would have been done in a flash!

BUT YOU can get a second bowl with your TMX for only $199 if you order before the 31st March!!

Other reasons why it's handy having a second bowl...
→ Save time
→ Great for making cocktails & cooking at the same time
→ Catering for different dietary needs
→ No Cross-Contamination
→ Bigger Batch Cooking
→ Amplifies multi-tasking!

Just released, is this what you've been waiting for?? Available until the 31st March. Game changer!!

You've heard that fasting might help reduce inflammation, increase your energy, help you sleep deeper and it might even make you feel a bit better.

But it all feels really confusing and overwhelming right? What does it actually look like?

I've made it super easy for you... just start with this simple guide:

In my free ‘Ultimate Starter Guide’ you’ll learn:
👉 Why fasting in midlife is a game changer

Grab it here my friend and just start... just start by pushing out your breakfast by 30 minutes in the morning. That's it initially.

This morning I decided to run a little experiment.

I ate a store bought white poppy seed bagel with butter. 😳

Before eating, my blood sugar was stable at 5.0 mmol/L.

About 1 hour and 15 minutes later… my blood sugar was through the roof 11.3 mmol/L – and I was getting alarm signals! I have never before had this sort of a spike from food from wearing a continuous glucose monitor.

But it wasn't just about the number.

It was how I started to feel:

• heart racing
• bloated and clogged in my gut
• anxious
• lethargic
• fuzzy head
• headache starting

I felt awful. And it took a while for it to come back down, much longer than normal, then my BS really dropped, because the higher it goes, the lower it goes as well.

Then I experimented with my own homemade bagel and hardly any spike! That's because it's made of really nourishing sustaining ingredients.

This is why I'm so passionate about teaching you about food and how it affects your body.

When we eat food made by someone else (bakery food, packaged food, café food), we really have no idea what it’s going to do to our blood sugars, energy or hormones.

But when we make food ourselves, we have total control.

Which is exactly why I’m running my High Protein Made Easy Cooking Class this Sunday, 2pm in Mt Wellington.

One of the things I’ll be making?

My homemade high protein bagels – of course!

They’re delicious, filling and designed to stabilise blood sugars.

If you'd like to learn how to make them (and taste them fresh out of the oven), there are still a few spots left. Plus there are several other delicious recipes on the menu too!
