Why me? Why am I running this workshop series?
I’m a Mum, just like you might be. I’ve got three kids, a husband, a dog, and we’re a pretty normal 😉 family. We’ve had our ups and downs over the years, and I’ve shared a lot of that openly because real life is real life.
I'm not doing this because I think I’m perfect, or because I’ve got it all figured out. I'm doing it because I’ve always been passionate about my health… and when something stops working, I go looking for better answers.
That’s exactly what happened when I hit perimenopause. What I was doing used to work… and suddenly it didn’t anymore.
So I delved deep. I listened, I learnt, I studied – and it led me to Dr Mindy’s work. It made so much sense that I ended up becoming certified as a Fast Like a Girl Coach, trained under Dr Mindy herself.
Now, I’m not here to tell you fasting is a miracle cure or some magic wand that fixes everything. For some women there are underlying challenges that matter.
And I also know there are people who say midlife women “shouldn’t fast.” If what you’re doing is working and you feel good, keep going, honestly.
But if it’s not… if you’re sitting there thinking, “I don’t know what to do anymore, but I don’t want to keep feeling like this”… then maybe it’s worth learning a new tool.
For me, it’s been a game-changer. I’m more stable, my moods are consistent, I’m sleeping sooo well, I feel strong and fit (thanks to actually prioritising strength training), I’ve got energy, I’m at my ideal weight… and I genuinely feel amazing at 52.
The best part? It’s not about fancy supplements, shakes, strict eating plans, or spending thousands. It’s about tuning into the innate wisdom of your body, and understanding how it’s designed to work.
