This is the beautiful Xiao Bao who refused to look at the camera in typical cat fashion! She stayed with us after we found she had acute kidney injury (AKI). One of the biggest causes of AKI in cats is toxin ingestion with lily's (any part of the plant) and anti-freeze being some of the most common causes. She was treated with fluid therapy and management of nausea and other clinical signs. She was incredibly lucky to have such dedicated cat parents who continued to nurse her at home by giving fluids under the skin. We are so pleased to see that she is doing loads better, and we will just see her back in a month to see if there has been any residual damage. 🐈🐈⬛
