Recipe of the month! ✰✰

Simple and Delicious Harissa Salmon Pilaf

Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 sliced onion
1 tsp each ground coriander and turmeric
2 tbsp harissa 500g cooked brown rice
2 salmon fillets, poached
40g chopped pistachios
70g pomegranate seeds
50g raisins
Bunch of parsley, chopped

Method:
Heat the oil in a casserole and add the onion to fry for 10 mins, or until golden. Stir in the spices and harissa paste, fry for 1 min, then stir in the rice and cook for 5 mins more. Flake the salmon and stir into the rice, then finish with the pomegranate, pistachios, nuts, and parsley. Easy peasy!

Did you know Pilates was originally called Contrology?

Before it became a global fitness trend, Joseph Pilates called his method "Contrology" - the art of controlling the body, mind, and breath as one integrated system.

At its core, Pilates isn’t about how much you can lift or how far you can stretch - it’s about deeply connecting with the body. Every movement is intentional, and that's what we believe and practice throughout all our classes at Studio Three.

Strength is a hot topic right now, especially for women in midlife....

There seems to be a lot of focus lately on lifting heavy weights and pushing our bodies harder and faster. But strength needs to be progressive in order to avoid injury and allow us to truly become strong in our bodies. Before we can add load to the body, we need good movement patterns and body awareness. We need to lengthen the spine, align it, and move from a place of control.

We’re seeing more and more women in the studio recovering from injuries and returning to Pilates for support. Pilates is our reminder that true strength starts with awareness and control, because true strength isn’t about force; it’s about precision, presence, and mindful movement that sustains the body.

Intermediate Reformer Wednesday 7.30am 

From this coming Wednesday, 5th Nov we have added a new Intermediate level Reformer class at 7.30am with Anjula. Anjula will also be taking over the 6.30am open level reformer from Nicole as she starts to slow down a bit  ahead of her baby’s arrival. 
For those that attend Anjula’s Saturday classes we know you will be very excited to have her energy and expertise to fire up your Wednesday mornings!

Join a Platinum plus Membership before October 31st and receive 4 weekly Reformer classes for the price of 3, plus unlimited group classes (choose from Barre, Pilates Mat & Fusion, TRX & Stretch & Restore), VOD access, and 1 complimentary guest pass per month through to the end of the year!

**Current Platinum Plus members:** You are now set up to automatically book an additional Reformer class per week through until December 31st as our thank you for your continued support!

**Platinum memberships:** Upgrade to the Platinum Plus membership before 31st Oct for an additional $20 per week or just $75 per month and experience the benefits of increasing your consistency in the lead up to year end. Upgrade available for 1, 2 or 3 months, you choose!
