📌 HABIT MYTH BUSTED: It Doesn’t Take 21 Days to form a new habit.

You’ve heard the line: “Just do it for 21 days and it becomes a habit.”

Sounds good… but it’s not reality.

Here’s what the science actually says:

🧠 Habits don’t “lock in” after 3 weeks.
⏳ The average is closer to 66 days, and depending on the person and the behaviours, it can take from 18 to 254 days.
💡 So if it’s taking you longer, nothing is wrong - you’re normal!

And here’s the kicker:

📉 January 17th is known as “Quitter’s Day” - the day most people abandon their New Year’s resolutions.
Not because they’re weak…
But because they were sold the 21‑day myth and thought they were failing when they weren’t.

How do we know this, the fitness tracking platform Strava sees the biggest drop in users on the 17th of January

The truth?

🔥 You don’t need 21 days.
🔥 You don’t need perfection.
🔥 You just need to keep showing up after the 17th.
