Today, we honour the memory of Adrian Willyson Brask, a highly valued member of the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue (RS), who tragically lost his life during a rescue operation on 26 September.
As part of the global Search and Rescue whānau, we stand together in sorrow and remembrance. His courage, service, and commitment to saving lives reflect the very heart of what unites all of us who serve on the water.
We extend our deepest condolences and aroha to Adrian’s whānau, friends, colleagues, and all those affected by this profound loss.
Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui.
(Be strong, be brave, be steadfast.)
From all of us at Auckland Coastguard. 💙⚓️
