It’s a way of relating — to the world, and to yourself.

The Yamas are the first step in yoga philosophy:
five simple (yet powerful) principles that guide how we live, love, and show up.

Over the past few weeks in class, we’ve explored all five — and this week we focused on Aparigraha, the practice of letting go.

Letting go of excess effort.
Letting go of pressure.
Letting go of what no longer serves.

Next week, we begin the Niyamas — practices that guide how we care for ourselves and tend to our inner world

Satya: The Courage to Be Real ✨

Perfection is a performance.
Your wobble is the truth. 🧘‍♀️

Moving into Week 2, the Lioness Pride is exploring the second limb of yoga: Satya — truthfulness.

In a world of filters and “perfect” highlights, your yoga mat is the one place you don’t have to pretend. Satya is the alignment of integrity—being radically honest about where your energy, strength, and flexibility actually are today.

If you’re forcing your body into a shape just to look like a “yogi,” that’s not yoga—that’s performance.
True yoga happens when we meet our honest edge.

🌿 Using a block because your body needs support (not because you “failed”)
🌿 Embracing a wobble in Tree Pose as your nervous system finding center
🌿 Choosing the version of the pose where your breath stays deep and steady

When you’re honest with your body, you stop performing and start healing.
