Its Mental Health week. Give mindful eating a try.

Mindful eating can be done with just one mouthful or even better with a whole meal. I personally do it for snacks. To do it :
- see it and name colour, texture and all you see
- smell it and name the smell
- feel the temperature. And if possible feel the texture in your hands (eg peanuts- hard, skin, pointy top etc.)
- hear it (crackles etc)
- finally eat it and describe it.
See if you can describe the sensation in your body (eg. warm feeling in the stomach after eating a warm soup).
Other things to consider are: appreciating your food. Thankful to everyone and everything from earth, water etc to farmer, processor etc to cook or server. How many time you chewed it? Did it melt in the mouth. Did it tingle your tongue like mint?…

Beauty is that you can do it anywhere, anytime with any food even with chocolate and unhealthy food. Just remember to focus on positive you can find good in every food and there is someone to be thanked in every bite.

Stay safe
