I would like to announce that as of Tuesday 4th June Torbay Physio and Hand Therapy passed ownership to Christina. Christina has been working in the practice for the past 4 years and comes with my highest recommendation. She has all the enthusiasm motivation and drive to ensure top quality continuum of care to all our patients.
I would like to thank all our patients for their support and loyalty over the past 18 years and hope this continues through to Christina and her staff. I am fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to continue working in the practice for the foreseeable future - so it’s not goodbye completely - just a change in position.

Our new Physio!

A warm welcome to Holly Warner who started working with us in February 2019!
Holly graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy at the end of 2018 after receiving the AUT Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship in 2014.
A keen dancer, Holly studied dance through her school years. She recently competed in the Ceroc NZ National Championships for the first time, winning the title of first in newcomers freestyle. Helping dancers prevent or recover from injuries is a special area of interest for her.
In her free time Holly enjoys paddle boarding, sailing and being outdoors, and when she can she likes nothing better than sliding down North Head in Devonport on pieces of cardboard.

Jan and Christina recently attended the New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapy conference in Rotorua themed "back to the future". This course covered a range of topics from osteoarthritis to disorders of the neck. It really raised the awareness of seeking early treatment and advice after a concussion to reduce long term symptoms such as neck pain, headaches and dizziness.
They had a blast and loved the excuse to get dressed up!
