November is Mens Health Month and while COVID has occupied a large part of our lives for the last 18 months an issue that I believe is as important, in fact more so, is New Zealand's su***de rates of our young men between the ages of 15 and 25. Shaun Johnson who is one of our very successful league players and about to join the Warriors is interviewed and is another wonderful role model and spokes person helping to raise awareness....

He's been using the off-season to have tough conversations around his mental wellbeing.

In my corner of the world we are about to say goodbye to 2020 and welcome in 2021 with relief and anticipation. As the sun goes down on this day I will reflect on all that I have to be grateful for and, while the year has brought its challenges, it has also brought much joy.

As you leave this year behind, what is it you can reflect on that you are grateful for? What brought you happiness and contentment? Today I feel challenged and tested. My heart aches for our friends and a nation across the Tasman. I've always believed in something greater than us all that will take care of us and act for our higher good - so today I ask - no I pray that a miracle happens and this devastation stops.

We have now entered the next decade of 2020! My wish for our world is one of harmony and prosperity and our communities working towards integration with love and acceptance.
