A reminder about Perimenopause. Let's keep talking about it ♥️

Perimenopause is a normal part of life. It is the body slowing down the menstrual cycle & preparing for Menopause (the cessation of periods).
We have the ability to handle it with grace & understanding if we choose.

Sometimes Perimenopause can be medically induced (hysterectomy). Perimenopause may occur over a number of years, from two to ten+ years, & can start as early as your 30's or 40's. It will vary with every woman.
Perimenopause will occur in every person who has female reproductive organs.

Nothing is 'wrong with you' & you are definitely not alone when experiencing Perimenopause.

Please keep informed, do your research & talk talk talk about it.

Summary: Stress & hormonal imbalance. How Cortisol (stress) Steals Progesterone: Both these hormones are produced from pregnenolone. When you are in chronic stress, the body will always divert the available pregnenolone to produce higher amounts of cortisol to help you get through stress. This means there might not be enough to produce sufficient levels of progesterone. This is called “pregnenolone steal".

Many women with signs of hormone imbalance have chronically low progesterone, without realizing this is undermining their health. Could you be one of them?

Let me be very very clear, Perimenopause is a NORMAL PART OF LIFE & we have the ability to handle it with grace & understanding if we choose.

Perimenopause will occur in every person who has female reproductive organs.

I state this because today I had an appointment with a well respected doctor in my community. When I said I am experiencing Perimenopause, the doctor exclaimed 'Oh no!'.
'What? It's normal!' I said.
'It's terrible' the qualified practitioner told me.

This is incorrect. Perimenopause is a NORMAL PART OF LIFE. Nothing is 'wrong with you' & you are definitely not alone when experiencing Perimenopause.

Please keep informed, do your research & talk talk talk about it.
