We’re excited to share our social enterprise journey and introduce the amazing ngā tāngata whaiora behind it. From growing fresh microgreens and house plants to seasonal produce, our team is involved every step of the way.

This Saturday, we’ll be at the Ostend Market for our very first stall! We would love your support, come on down, say hi, and see the mahi in action.

After getting more calls for emergency mental health assistance, we have set up a fundraising page to help us provide emergency respite care on waiheke. every dollar counts and will go towards providing supported respite rooms here on waiheke.

1 in 3 people will experience mental health in their lifetime, we want to grow our current service to deliver emergency support on Waiheke.

A fascinating 2021 review from Nanjing Agricultural University took a deep dive into the nutrient and antioxidant content of different microgreen varieties—and the results were pretty incredible. 👀

The researchers found that microgreens like broccoli, radish, red cabbage, basil, pea shoots, and mustard are naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and phenolic compounds. These plant-made compounds act as antioxidants in the body, helping protect our cells from everyday stress and free-radical damage. 💚

To put it simply, based on studies: microgreens pack a concentrated punch of the same protective phytochemicals plants use to defend themselves. Carotenoids support eye health, phenolic compounds help reduce oxidative stress, and together they provide a boost of natural, food-based antioxidants.

It’s amazing to see how much research continues to show the nutritional potential of these tiny greens. 🌱

He rā ātaahua! What a gorgeous day on Waiheke!

Here at WISH, our gardens are overflowing, plentiful fresh salads are ready for the taking, along with beautiful bouquets of edible herbs: cornflower, lemon balm, pineapple sage, and rosemary.

Come and help yourself to these vibrant, delicious, garden-fresh edibles!

Make sure to like our new page so you can stay updated, our microgreens will be ready soon to bring colour, crunch, and flavour to your dinner plates.
