How’s your body feeling today? December can be a lot – if your back’s feeling tight or you’re carrying tension in your shoulders, here’s a simple reset you can do right now.


The Roll Down (standing or seated)
– Start standing with feet hip-width apart, knees soft (or sit tall on the edge of a chair)
– Take a breath in, lengthening through your spine
– On your exhale, tuck your chin and slowly roll down, one vertebra at a time
– Let your arms hang heavy – no effort, just gravity
– Pause at the bottom. Take 2-3 breaths here
– Slowly roll back up, stacking your spine from the bottom, head comes up last

Ready to Sleigh? Let’s go!!! ✨ Do 10 classes with us this December and you’ll earn a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 class on us.

Grab your 𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗧𝗘𝗡 spot at reception from December 1st to play by writing your name into your own box. Get it signed every visit, and keep the consistency moving this silly season. Trainers only can sign off attendance.

Rules apply;
𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
☑️ Any client can take part, regardless of the pack types you use to play but ideally people don’t sign up for it unless they actually intend on doing ten classes.
☑️ All classes must be completed between 1-31 December (including the free class). 𝘕𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘯𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.
𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (poster)
☑️ Card must be stamped after each class on the day of attendance (no back-dates).
𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱
☑️ Once the 10th class is stamped, you will receive your complimentary class.
☑️ The free class must be used in December.

☑️ The reward class is non-transferable, non-shareable, and cannot be exchanged for credit.

Spotlight on Erin, Reform Vic Park’s incredible movement maven. Join her creative sessions on Tuesday mornings and Thursday lunch sessions! Here’s a bit about :

“My first experience of Pilates was as a baby ballerina and it’s been a constant in my life since! Pilates has been a huge part of my journey through my performance career, injury, and chronic pain and I am passionate about the potential for Pilates to improve your quality of life as it has mine.

“I work across the performing arts and fitness sectors, so you may see those influences popping up in sessions with me. Movement is medicine! In my classes you can expect to encounter some tough challenges, enhance your spinal mobility and walk out feeling good – in both your brain and your body!”

Perfect your supine abdominal series:

⭐️ Prepare with an inhale breath, and curl up with a slow, controlled exhale breath.

⭐️ Slide your bottom ribs toward your pelvis, lift your shoulder blades off the carriage using your abdominal muscles.

⭐️ Avoid straining your neck by pulling it with your hands – soften the shoulders away from the ears, and focus on the abdominal contraction initiating the movement, rather than pulling the head and neck.

⭐️ Hold at the top of the movement for a few seconds, before controlling the roll down.

⭐️ Aim to keep your pelvis still and stable on the carriage, particularly through any rotations in the sequence.

⭐️ With your legs in the tabletop position, maintain the 90 degree angle of the legs: knees above hips, shins parallel with the floor.

⭐️ Take it slow! Performing the movement too quickly uses momentum and neglects proper core engagement.

We use supine abdominal work to strengthen the rectus abdominis (the ‘six-pack’ muscles), the obliques (side abdominal muscles) and the transverse abdominis (your deepest layer of abdominals). Are there any movements that you’d love to perfect? Drop us a line and let us know! ⬆️
