One last reminder from our team regarding GP care on Christmas Day:

Our GP team will be taking a well-earned break on Christmas Day. Please do NOT self-present to the practice – our staff will not be onsite.

Ka Ora will be looking after all patients for the day through telehealth consultations. If face-to-face care is deemed necessary by Ka Ora, they will arrange this via referral to our on-call doctor or the nearest Emergency Department in Dunedin or Gore. Please follow all instructions provided to you from the team at Ka Ora should you be referred for face to face care. Our team will be back on deck, on Boxing Day - access is via Ka Ora Triage. Remember, in an emergency always call 111.

With just a week to go until Christmas, have you checked your medications? 🎄💊

The festive season is almost here! While we’ll be open over the holidays, some of our team will be taking a well-earned break. This means prescription processing may take a little longer than usual.

Please make sure you have enough of your long-term medication to see you through Christmas and New Year. If you need a repeat prescription, request it as soon as possible to avoid any delays. Repeat prescriptions may take up to 48 hours to process so please don't leave it until the last minute to action your request. Order your repeats via Manage My Health or by calling us on 419 0500.

Christmas is just around the corner, and our team wants to help you stay well over the festive season.

✅ Check your medications now – make sure you have enough to last through Christmas and New Year.
✅ Book early for repeat prescriptions – appointments can be scarce at this time of year, and pharmacies may have reduced hours.

If you’re running low, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange your repeat prescription. These can can take up to 48 hours to complete. Planning ahead means less stress and more time to enjoy the holidays!

Measles is highly contagious and can spread quickly, especially with summer holidays coming up – beaches, big gatherings, and family events mean greater chances for exposure. Are you and your family protected?
