Kawakawa + Manuka Healing Balm

Locally sourced from the coastline of the Marlborough Sounds.

The leaf of a kawakawa tree is deemed the most important herb in traditional Maori medicine. It’s properties assist in cleansing blood, treating burns, grazes, cuts, insect bites and inflammation. It is also used to treat skin conditions like eczema, acne, dermatitis and scaring. 🌿

Manuka has antiseptic and bactericidal properties, and also works as a natural pain reliever and anti inflammatory. 🍯

Our Mission is to create, organic, locally sourced remedial products using the medicinal properties of native kawakawa for your skins optimum health with out the nasties.

How did SeaMade come about?

Ive always been an ideas person. In the last year of high school I listed off at least 12 different career paths that were deemed “the one this time.” I settled however on an Adventure Tourism qualification and later delved into the depths of Registered Nursing.

Marry those two very unusual stepping stones together and pair them with specialist wound care. There, you’re left with an understanding of the New Zealand environment, its incredible array of the medicinal and natural healing qualities of native plants, and an understanding of how to use these in the healing of many skin related conditions.

And wallah ! Qeue the Kawakawa + Manuka Healing Balm !

The products that you will see appear in this space have been infused with medicinal native plants, hand picked from the coastline of the Marlborough Sounds. This, along with zero nasties such as alcohols, preservatives or chemicals, is the reason why these products work so well for people experiencing poor skin health.

With that being said I am so excited to see where this journey takes us. Hopefully out of the landlords kitchen- sorry boys!
