✨Whānau Resilience Symposium 2025✨

Last month on the 16-17 October, our Te Whakamana o te Whānau kaimahi, James Kauri, attended the Whānau Resilience Symposium, Held at Te Maruheruhe Cultural Centre in Auckland. This powerful wānanga brought together providers from across Aotearoa delivering the Whānau Resilience programme.

The kaupapa was clear: whānau-led healing grounded in key principles, strengthening resilience and addressing family violence.

💬 James shared of the Inspiring kōrero, waiata, laughter, and whakawhanaungatanga filling the space, affirming that whānau voice and whānau-led solutions are vital for the best outcomes.

Key speakers shared journeys of hope, connection, and truth—showcasing the transformative power of resilience and lived experience. From holding hope, healing through connection, and the journey of a disenfranchised warrior, provided a window into the depth of lived experience, the strength of whānau-led solutions, and the transformative power of truth and resilience.

🤝 Collaboration was central, with providers sharing approaches like wānanga, group programmes, and one-to-one support, united by shared kaupapa and collective values.

Together, we hold hope. Together, we heal. Together, we rise. 🌿
