A special shout out to Mrs Monica Williams from St Peter's Catholic School, Cambridge, NZ for doing such a fantastic job as MC at our event 🎤
One of the real highlights was seeing how special the moment was when children crossed the finish line and were greeted by someone who knew them so well. Having taught at the school, and relieved for many years, Monica recognised so many of the students, which made those announcements and celebrations even more meaningful.
Thank you, Monz, for bringing your energy, warmth and familiar voice to the day — it made it extra special for our students and community.

Every great event has a driving force behind it… and ours is Donna Warwick. 💛🏃♀️
Donna is the absolute lynchpin of the Waipa Fun Run. She lives and breathes this event for months on end - planning, organising, coordinating - and somehow still turns up each day with a smile (and her trusty clipboard in hand 📋✨).
They say it takes a village… and Donna has hers well and truly refined. From gently cajoling husband Ian into action, to rallying an incredible crew of volunteers, she makes it all happen.
And if you’ve ever been on the start line, you’ll know she loves sending each event off - just to make sure it runs on time… every time! 😄🏁
A massive shoutout to Donna for her energy, enthusiasm and unwavering commitment. We simply couldn’t do this without you! 🙌💛
Oh, and remember, it's not too late to enter - visit Victoria Square, Cambridge on Saturday 7 March from 3-5pm or from 7am on Sunday morning.

⛳️✨ At Kaz, if it stands still long enough, we’ll brand it. Team shirts, mugs, pens… and yes, even the prizes for the Cambridge Lifeskills fundraising golf tournament next week.
We’re proud to be sponsoring a hole this year — and rumour has it there might be a rogue Kaz team out there too. Don’t expect matching uniforms… just four keen golfers doing their best! 😉
It’s all for an incredible cause, and we’re excited to tee off in support of Cambridge Lifeskills. 🏌️♀️🏌️♂️

We’re making every step count! 👟
For each entry into the Doyle School 2km Challenge, we’re donating $1.00 to Cambridge Lifeskills, a fantastic local not-for-profit organisation that provides FREE counselling for children and young people aged 5-15 in the Cambridge district.
As society changes, children face more challenges, from bullying to family struggles. Cambridge Lifeskills offers support to help them overcome these issues, empowering young minds to thrive. 🌱

Cambridge Lifeskills is a Not For Profit agency offering counselling for children and young people between the ages of 5 to 15 in the Cambridge district.
Since the service began in 1992 there has been a steady increase in the need for such a service in the community.
Cambridge Lifeskills aims to offer counselling, support and encouragement so that children/young people are able to work through these issues.
We are a mobile service working primarily at your child's school (if in the more central Cambridge district), however we can also provide counselling at our counselling room in Cambridge if requested.
The counselling service has become an integral part of the support network available to the children of Cambridge.
Being local enables families with children in different schools to be seen and counselled in their familiar school environment. It also allows for close monitoring of the referred children.
The counsellors usually work with the children in their base schools, negating the need for children to travel during the school day.
There have been traumatic incidents occur in the Cambridge schools and having ready access to counsellors in the community has benefited children and school staff at these difficult times.
Changes in society have meant many children are now exposed to an increasing range and number of issues. Children do not have the skills to deal with these but they are with encouragement and support often willing to talk through their personal situation with trusted adults such as the Cambridge Lifeskills counsellors.
We as a group greatly appreciate the support of sponsors and supporters and take every opportunity to make the wider community aware of these generous gestures of support.
Currently there are 7 counsellors on the team working for Cambridge Lifeskills.
