The beautiful doll's house is such an amazing community effort - built by Eric and Peter from the Cambridge Menzshed, and furnished by Alison from the Friends of Resthaven Foundation, it is a beautifully decorated, big (1.3m high!), 3-storey doll's mansion.

MELBOURNE CUP - AND THEY’RE OFF!
We put our own spin on Melbourne Cup fun with a Happy Feet Newspaper Race!
Contestants had to roll up their newspapers as fast as they could - using only their feet.
We had 4 hotly contested heats, and here’s the grand final . They are fast!
The winner was Dawn, by a toe! Her prize - the Resthaven Cup (aka our takeaway Coffee Cup).

Now it’s your turn — we challenge other retirement villages, schools, businesses, and community groups to give it a go! Who’s got the fastest feet in Cambridge?

Farewelling the Quiet Room

Last month, we had a gathering to bless and acknowledge the Quiet Room's special place in our community before we closed the room to begin preparations for the next stage of our apartments.

Thank you to the speakers - Sarah shared the history of the Quiet Room and acknowledged the many people who had contributed to the room. Jeff pointed out the beautiful stained glass windows made by Alan Jones and the character wood beams that will feature in the new building, providing a link between the past and new buildings.

And thank you to Derek for doing the blessing, and to all those who joined us on the day.

Celebrating 105 years young! 🎂🎊
Les celebrated his 105th birthday recently, with a big party surrounded by family and friends. 🎉🎈This remarkable man has done a lot in his 105 years, and much of it has been in support of community projects. ⭐️🌟
