Its been a busy few weeks in the kitchen preserving and making things for the store cupboard. First 20kg of local Moorpark apricots, then plums off our tree, then relish with the first of our Jedvale Bush tomatoes (my favourite easy grow 🍅 variety), more and more plums, this time Burbank and some other purple Japanese plums. Then today's job local 💜 Omihi Blackcurrants being made into cordial with our lemonades 🍋

Its all go in the vege garden atm, the hard work at the end of winter is paying off; spuds are up, currants in full flower, apple in blossum, asparagus coming on nicely and broad beans, garlic, lettuces doing there thing 👌

This year I had to pick 90% of the tomatoes green, bring them inside to ripen and then preserve or freeze! Next summer I will order more sunshine 🌞 ✨
