What did you enjoy most about the workshop?
I really enjoyed the combination of brain and body experiences. The way the session integrated reflection, embodied practice, and note-taking made everything very clear and accessible, allowing me to truly experience the process rather than just think about it.

What changes do you anticipate as a result of the session?
Having a clear intention for 2026 has helped me connect deeply with my inner reflection and clarify what truly matters to me. It gave me a sense of direction and a heartfelt plan that I’ve already started to apply this week through small, meaningful actions that feel aligned with my values.

Today, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude as I received this beautiful rock with a powerful message - Jai Hanuman! It was gifted by a local artist whose father, a devoted Hanuman follower, was recently honored at our center's exhibition. Feeling blessed to have this symbol of positivity in our healing center.

In 2025, I asked a friend if I could record an Album at his Studio for my dad. He kept pushing me to be clear and rehearse what I wanted to sing. The songs would be a mixture of sanskit hyms that my dad loves to listen to. I'm not sure how much longer my father will be in his body, so the motivation was to record these in a studio so that he would be able to play them whenever, wherever by his bedside.

I felt overwhelmed with the studio aspect, so I asked two friends to join me in this project. They agreed and we combined our love of Kirtan to create an 8 track album that I think my dad is going to love ❤️

The way this project has evolved, under the guidance of Nelson, has been not only a present for my dad, but also something to share for the wider community. Nelson has bought his deep knowledge of Hindustani music into this project and we are blessed to bring to you an album of chants that represent our love and joy of singing together.

Thank you Nelson, Krista and Ahly with not only your energy, but the commitment you have given so that this gift to my father may be realised.

I look forward to sharing with you the fruits ....

This Saturday at The Hanuman Center, join us for a two hour Kirtan practice with food shared afterwards. It's a wonderful practice for both people who are new or seasoned goers of Kirtan.
Details are:
Date: Saturday 3 January
Time: 5 - 7 pm
Followed by: Shared plant-based (vegan) food
Place: Hanuman Centre, 107 Effingham Street, North Brighton
Contribution: $10 or by Koha towards the life of The Hanuman Centre

The Hanuman Center is a place in the community where people can pop in and call it a second home. It's foundation is built on Truth & Trust, where it's offerings aim to provide Simplicity, Transparency and Structure to those who come.
To open the center, I will be offering a three and a half hour Summer Retreat, on the 30th of December, which will offer a beach yoga sequence, brunch, a 60min Restorative class, pranyama and meditation.
