During sleep, the neurons in our brain shrink to about 60% to allow a fluid called cerebral spinal fluid to come in and wash out our brain. This allows our brain to make room for new learning and to consolidate the memories and learning that we want to keep.
Healthy sleep is the best thing we can do for aiding our memory.
If you are finding that you are becoming very forgetful, don't brush it off as an 'age thing' but do a check first on whether you are getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep a night.

We often have to resort to getting help when our relationship has broken down. Those reasons could be lack of trust, feeling unsafe or not respecting boundaries. Same with sleep. When these areas are not present, our sleep will be impacted.

It's often common to make decisions around aiming to be more productive and missing out on sleep, or those junk food meals or to rest instead of active exercise and while this may give some level of satisfaction and short term happiness, it may just compromise your long term health and happiness if it becomes a regular part of your lifestyle.

To reduce the temptation of looking at your phone during the night, switch it off! You will be much less likely to look at it if you have to go through the bother of turning it on. You will also find that everything will be fine in the morning :)

It is important to eat whole, real foods for our body and for a good night's sleep. Nuts and seeds are excellent. Some can be quite expensive but if you don't have any in the pantry, how about starting with chia seeds and sunflower seeds? Great to use in salads or smoothies.
