Another day of unforgettable treatments… OAB (Osteopathic Articular Balancing) through HVLA (High Velocity Low Amplitude) articulation and Cranio-Sacral therapy to help bring the biggest of the big and the smallest of the small back into homeostasis. Then, dinner and drinks after a long days work. Good education, good fun, good food and all with great friends….I am so lucky to be a part of this journey. Until next time...

Just a bit delayed posting these to help assure clients I have done the study and training and am legit 😊
Horses (and ponies, donkeys...) are my main priority and being able to help them and keep them biomechanically functional and relaxed is my main goal.

It's such a pleasure to work with the yearlings and weanlings at the sales. 

I get to meet them at the end of their preparation when it's crunch time for the vendors. 

They have worked tirelessly to present a fantastic athlete. 

But sometimes all that work can finally get to the horse. The long days parading can result in tension and general soreness, much like how we would feel if we had to smash out a marathon at short notice. Muscle restrictions and biomechanical issues that can cause stiffness and detract from the natural free movement of the animal and cause them to behave poorly, sometimes playing up. 

Particularly common with yearlings is restriction through the thoracic sling, which can shorten the stride. 

Equine Physiokey, Osteopathy and Massage Therapy can help relieve some this stress. I am available at most of the sales to take an assessment and work through a treatment to help articulate the joints and muscle function.

EPK will be back at the sales in Adelaide and QTIS soon. Although the cyclone has halted our activities for a week, we will soon be back in action.
