“ is not an experience.

It is not a high, or something you need to chase at all.
It is the quiet realisation that you here.
It is the rest that comes when you stop bracing for impact.
It is no longer scanning the horizon for danger that never arrives.
It is your brain beginning to where it once expected harm.
It is the of the ordinary moment, your breath, the taste of tea, the impossible blue of the blue sky.

Last year, several members of our team each chose a that held special meaning for them. These books are now part of the Cherish offered with the hope that you might find inspiration, comfort, or connection through them.

Detta chose The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion – Freeing Yourself from Destructive Thoughts & Emotions by Christopher K. Germer

Remember that You are warmly invited to borrow books from our library anytime. On the bookshelf, you’ll find a little black notebook. Just write down your name and the book you’re taking.
