When the boy was taken to my clinic in 2017 summer holiday, he was 7 years old. His aunt told me that he was a premature baby and then they found that his eyesight was not good when he was about 3 years old. Then the oculist gave the diagnosis, congenital amblyopia, and he got his first glasses. But the eyesight was continuous declined. If I could not help him, he would git the third glasses. The eyesight test had been finished, 0.2 left, 0.4 right.
I just provided treatment for myopia to teenagers in the past. But both of us had no more options at that time, I should have a try with traditional acupuncture treatment.
He was a brave boy during the whole process of treatment.
One week later, I suggested that he could take off the glasses if he felt comfortable without it.
Two weeks later he said he could see books more clearly than before and his eyes were not easy to get tired.
He got another test after a 5-day break. Left 0.6, right 0.7. I gave him a prescription to protect the eyesight, as he had to return to hometown to continue his study at school.
Then I released it in
Chinese Acupuncture and moxibustion Journal, the best journal of acupuncture and moxibustion in China, maybe all over the world.

It doesn't mean that I am the best acupuncturist. I feel lucky and grateful whenever I think of all the cases and books. And I am more and more confident with eye diseases. Myopia, hyperopia, amblyopia, cataract, glaucoma, conjunctivitis, stye etc.

Today I will tell you some cases about stomach ulcer.Cos the boy told me that his symptoms of ulcer have gone away for nearly two weeks after Acupuncture, without any medicine. If the food was too greasy or spicy ,Acid regurgitation (waterbrash) would come back. But it would disappear two or three minutes later itself, without any treatment.
I remembered the first time he told me about that and asked if Acupuncture would be helpful. He has suffering from it for years. He felt uncomfortable with tablets and herbs. I am always confident whenever people ask me like this, cos I have helped with many people in different degree, from slight heartburn to painful with whole belly (multiple punctate bleeding with gastric mucosa, not emergency).
All of them could felt better with about three times.
Helicobacter was found as the main reason for ulcer, and WHO recommends several medications for that.It was a great achievement. But it does not mean that it is suitable for all of us.
We are so lucky that we have traditional Chinese Acupuncture. It always takes us surprise.
Healthy diet can help us and all of us can find a good one for ourselves, just like grass for sheep, bamboo for Panda, and meat for tiger.

Last month, the man who sold firewood to me asked if Acupuncture would helpful for stress.Absolutely .
Especially for people who suffering from it for a long period, even though they have taken medications, just kinds of depressants.
It reminds me of my patients in China.Mr Ding is a teacher of university who majors in sculpture. We know each other for years. He will come to my clinic whenever he feels not good, no matter digestion diseases, insomnia, etc.But his auntie suggested he went to the in-patient department of psychology and stayed there for a month. He took pills at first, then injection. Then he could fall asleep for nearly 7 hours, is it good signal for getting better? No! We should not judge the effects by quantity, while quality is the most important thing.Depressants gave him more time to sleep, but just shallow ones.He still felt dizzy , grumpy and hands trembling. It was not a good signal for him who needs hands to create sculpture.
It lasted about two months to reduce medications gradually for him.We made a plan together for him , step by step,a quarter of one tablet every two weeks.
We are lucky enough that we succeeded at last. He does not rely on any depressants any more.
Medications are good, but it is not suitable for everyone, just like any other therapy.

The boy, Wang, who was 8 years old when he was taken to my clinic by wheelchair in 2017, according to one of my classmates' recommendation.
The doctors of neurology still had no confirmed diagnosis to his recurrent inflammation in brain and spinal cord.hormone drugs were the main medications for him,cos there was no bacteria virus or fungus. The life was saved. But he couldn't stand independently ,the eyesight declined, while he gained too much weight during that period, maybe edema was more accurate.
I had no idea what he was suffering. But I Knew I shouldn't be trapped in the western medical diagnosis. It was meridians and Chinese medicine thoeries that I should depend on.
Fortunately We got a positive response. He could stand up without any help a month later, and then I suggested him to do gentle excersise every day.The weight was keep losing and the eyesight was coming back gradually. All of the symptoms were getting better without any hormone drugs. No new drugs,no new side effects,we were lucky enough.
At last,we got the diagnosis: encephalitis periaxialis sclerotican(multiple sclerosis),an autoimmune disease.
I was lucky to get the right direction of disease and I am still proud of being a Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, Acupuncture and herbs are our tools and classical theories are what we rely on, patients are our teachers, for ever.We can't cure all of the diseases, but we can provide our help all the time.
When I got the message from his mum this April and knew that he is still good. I think all the effects are deserved, for all of us.

Glad to hear that Mrs Zhang has come to normal from passing blood in her stool after once treatment of Acupuncture.
Just 10min after taking a South Korea dish, maybe not cooked thoroughly,or allergic to that, she began to vomitt and diarrhea seriously. And then she passed blood in her stool, sore belly.
Symptoms weren't alleviated after taking some medications for acute gastroenteritis. Then she applied for help with telephone, cos she is living in America with her daughter. And just as we all know, people do not want to go to hospital, thanks for Trump's continuous efforts, the pandemic.
Then she gave Acupuncture to herself, Yes, she is brave enough, thought she was a wonderful nurse who graduated from Western medical school.
The answer is positive, cos 20min after needles inserting the points that I suggested, she felt comfortable again.
We took a telephone video with wechat this morning, and I found that she has been refreshed as before.
Thanks for her trust all the time, and thanks to Internet and Acupuncture.
All of us can learn from her experience.Do not have a taste with strange things.Try to know the details of cooking materials. Try to accept the truth about your body especially when you are over 50 yeas old.
And another one is to be cautious when your son in law want to have a try in kitchen(for kidding, Lol).

The young lady was bited by some worm (white tailed spider?) last Sunday afternoon. When she felt uncomfortable with the foot,it was swelling. I think her boss must like these employee, pretty hard working.Cos she still worked on Monday. The first picture was taken on Monday morning.
Then I gave her common Acupuncture and lancet for bleeding on distal points, not local area.
The second and third picture were taken on Tuesday morning.
Fortunately she stayed at homefor a rest, and come to take the second treatment, only common Acupuncture on distal points.
The last two pictures were taken this morning.A little swelling on the back of the foot and ankel. But the temperature of skin has come to normal from yesterday, and the color of local area (around melleoluslateralis) are dark. So, it has been controlled and safe.
You can come back to your position tomorrow.

On Saturday, one of my friends asked me when should his uncle start acupuncture treatment for his rehabilitation after surgery for stroke. The answer is,the earlier, the better.
It doesn't mean that he must choose acupuncture or it could help him come to normal. But it is the most effective way to help people recovery from stroke, especially in the rehabilitation period.
In 2016, I had two patients who had suffering from one side paralysis over two years.10min walking could make them tired.I did not let their limbs flexible as before, but both of them said they could feel two legs were in balance again.
Cure sometimes, treat often, comfort always.
But if you lose too many opportunities to treat, comfort will be the only thing left.

Last year when I talked with another practitioner that I provided treatment for Children with Autism ADHD and cerebral palsy,he was shocked. And asked me where or who taught me about it.
To be ohnest, I have no special classes for those diseases. But I thought I could analyse it with my Chinese medicine especially Acupuncture (meridian and collateral) thoeries. So, I did it according to these classical theories, and we got positive feedback. Some autistic child started to have contact with people around, some of them could understand more than before. We could find children with cerebral palsy succeeded in sitting, standing or walking independently.
Although the spectrum of diseases has been changing in last few centuries. I think we can provide our help with our knowledge and efforts.

A young man told me that he is suffering from sneezing, runny nose, dizziness, and he does not know how to tell pollens , common cold,or flu.
Pollens, normally has such symptoms: runny nose or stuffy nose, sneezing, and it always causes itching with eyes, nose , ears.when get worse, it will make you cough or pant, just like asthma. It also can make low fever, but not common. Pollens are not the only reason, wind before pollens is another important one for pollens allergy.
Common cold can cause low fever, sneezing, runny nose or stuffy nose or dizziness, but it seldom bring itching, but it can give you stiff neck and upper back, slight cough.
Flu is more infectious and make people high fever, painful with whole body, sneezing and runny nose normally will come after the temperature comes to normal. So you can begin to celebrate when sneezing and runny nose appear,it means that the fever will leave.
All of these things can be dealt with Acupuncture, efficiently. I think you can feel comfortable in about 30min.
We should show respect to the inventor or finder of medications. But we should know that we can have another choice to rely on our body ourselves, not only the chemical things.

So, It's time to find traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then you will fall in love with it.
