Our kaupapa at Te Ranga Ihupuku today was all about training our energy systems, today we worked on our anaerobic system and a specific zone; but before that the girls had to work out what their max heart rate is.

Working sets were 90-100% max effort
120 seconds slow active rest
Fuel - carbohydrates and protein

Last week’s touch session was filled with basic learnings for the girls, from foot work and ensuring they are pushing off their feet with power when back-tracking on defence to ensuring you create the visual dexterity to look over both shoulders when retreating fast to the defence line.
