Kāwai raupapa (level 4) - Certificate in Māori and Indigenous Art EXHIBITION

Today marked the completion of our course, but our raranga continues.

The haerenga has been the greatest experience in developing new skills and techniques from our kaiako. It's been made possible because of her patience and the tautoko and awhina of the tauira.

Today we shared our display with whanau, friends and the public ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Ehara taku toa, he takitahi, he toa takitini
My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, as it was not individual success but success of a collective.

Something you may not know about me… ✨
Every weave I create carries intention. I don’t just make for the sake of making – each piece is woven with purpose, thought, and meaning.

That’s why most of my creations are one-off, custom-made treasures.
No two are ever the same, because each one is made to hold a special story, a feeling, or a connection.

When you receive a piece from me, you’re not just getting a product – you’re receiving something unique, woven with heart and intention 💛

July - Ōpouira Pā Harakeke

This was an opportunity to tautoko and help tidy and clean out the harakeke. This has been an ongoing project and still continues.

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted here, and I just wanted to pop in and say Kia ora! Life has been full with family and study, and I needed to take a step back for a bit.

I’m so grateful for your patience. The longer I'm off here, the less I feel the need to be on this platform, creating content. Kōanga is here 🌷 time to bring out the putiputi.

Nga mihi for the messages, enquires and custom orders recently. It's a reminder that I am still in business although the winter was slow and quiet.. it was a good time to rest, reflect and set new goals.

Apologies for not being able to fulfill orders for a short notice period.
