Hurunui Garden Festival

Residents enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the beautiful Hurunui gardens. The day included a guided walk at Flaxmere Garden, visits to Saddlewood and Coldstream, followed by stops at Toi Toi and Iron Ridge. Each garden offered its own unique charm, making for a truly memorable day surrounded by stunning landscapes.

Residents attended an eerie Halloween evening for a Monster Mansion Murder Mystery. Dressed in character, they enjoyed the spooky atmosphere and tried to unravel which “monster” among them was the villain.

Northbound Nature Retreat

Our Travel Clubbers recently enjoyed a week immersed in nature. They walked the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway, took to the skies for whale watching, and relaxed on the shores of the sounds at the recently renovated Portage Resort, making it a truly memorable getaway.

Recently, we visited the beautiful Ouruhia garden of Tammy & Michael Wells. We enjoyedbexploring the garden, followed by a picnic lunch in a peaceful, shaded spot. A lovely day spent relaxing and enjoying the outdoors!

Ladies Who Lunch ☕

The Banbury ladies boarded the bus and set off to Hello Sunday in Sydenham for a lovely lunch in the beautiful old post office building. It was a delightful outing filled with good food, laughter, and wonderful company.

Fika Finders: Coffee & Walk with Friends

Residents enjoyed a refreshing walk around Roto Kōhatu Reserve in the north of the city, exploring the beautiful surroundings of the two freshwater lakes, Tahi and Rua. The outing was perfect for catching up, getting some fresh air, and enjoying nature together!

Toshi’s Teppanyaki returned to Banbury Park, and what a delicious and entertaining evening it was! Residents enjoyed watching the skilful cooking demonstrations, savouring mouth-watering dishes, and sharing lots of laughs — especially during the egg-catching-in-the-mouth challenge!

Our Adventure Walkers group is perfect for residents with a higher level of fitness who enjoy an exercise-focused outing. Each month brings a new destination, and this time the group tackled the Rauakaaka Track. It was a great way to stay active, enjoy the scenery, and share the walk together! 🌿
