The spinal cord is protected by the spine and a chiropractor checks and removes any misalignments of the vertabrae of the spine (which can occur for many reasons) to ensure that the nerves are free to regulate, heal, rebuild and repair any illness or injury that may be present. At Southern Chiropractic we recognise that our general wellbeing comes from the balance of many factors including the food we eat, the way we move, our work and leisure activities and the quality of the relationships we have in our life. Underpinning and responding to all of these activities is our nervous system which receives signals from the brain to regulate every organ, muscle and activity in the body. A chiropractor simply removes the interference that may be present in the vertebrae so the body can function and heal at an optimum level.

Following the recent Covid-19 Alert Level changes to Level 4, all appointments for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday have been cancelled. Due to the uncertainty of the situation more cancellations for the following weeks may be possible. We will have to wait for further directives...

An important announcement as we go to level 3. Unfortunately I still cannot treat clients under NZ Ministry of Health/Chiropractic Board guidelines. No chiropractors should be seeing clients for treatments currently. The guidelines are quite clear. I am hopeful two more weeks and we will be back to (a new) normal. After that I will again be seeing clients/patients with the same level of commitment as before with minimal to non-existent waiting times and generous treatment duration.
Our website booking capability is tentatively open from Wednesday the 13th of May.
