When there is a mismatch between our balance senses (vision, inner ear and body position sense), highly demanding visual environments can make you feel worse, i.e. the supermarket.

If you feel increased dizziness in busy visual environments let us know... vestibular physiotherapy can help.

Visually Induced Dizziness, or Supermarket Syndrome, is an umbrella term for vestibular symptoms which are triggered by visual stimulation.

You don't need to have any experience in this area just a willingness to learn from some of the best in the business.
We have the most up to date equipment for vestibular testing which is a rare opportunity.
The anticipated schedule of this role is flexible, part or full time, you choose your hours to suit your life outside of work.
Key accountabilities include:
Performing clinical assessments and implementing treatment plans for clients.
Providing ongoing evaluation of client progress.
Administering and collecting outcome measurement information
You will need to be:
A graduate of a recognised university with a Physiotherapy degree.
Have full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand
Having training/certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation and or Concussion Rehabilitation would be an asset but individuals with a desire to learn these specialties are welcome to apply.

We are able to help you with your recovery from a vestibular disorder.

Today is the first day of this year's Balance Awareness Week, September 19-25. You can help make vestibular visible while supporting your friends and family on their journey toward a life rebalanced. Inviting friends, family members, co-workers, and other connections to participate in and financially support fundraising challenges will help raise awareness of balance-related disorders. Other ways to raise awareness include:
-Watch the “Life Rebalanced Chronicles” docuseries and share, share, share!
-Set a fundraising goal to support vestibular patient education and register your Personal Campaign Page.

As we will be moving into alert level 4 we will not be able to undertake any face to face appointments until we have returned to alert level 2 or less. If you already have an appointment booked we will do our best to make contact and either move you to an alternative date or if you need urgent care we will be able to undertake a video appointment.
