Alison enjoys successfully treating people of all ages and sizes but feels it is important that women and babies especially have their problems heard. She can help with pre-conceptual preparation and fertility issues as well as helping common pregnancy complaints such as sciatica, low back aches, pubic symphysis pain and headaches that women often think they have to put up with. Once baby is born both mother and baby can be rebalanced as well as assisted with such problems as infant colic, reflux, poor sleep and general baby discomfort. Working as a Structural Naturopath in NZ, Alison successfully uses a variety of gentle cranial, structural, homeopathic and herbal techniques/remedies. Alison graduated in 1996 from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy (London,UK) and had 2 busy practices in Warwickshire before immigrating to New Zealand 15 years ago. Alison and her Osteopath husband both practice from their home based clinic in Dunsandel, just outside Christchurch. Alison has experienced the highs and lows of parenting with her two children so there is little she hasn’t seen before. There is a play corner in the room for children while mum or baby is having treatment, as well as lots of space to run around outside. Goats, sheep and horses can be spotted in the paddocks and there are often hens and ducks pecking around. A visit to The Matariki Practice is geared to being as stress-free as possible so the whole family can get back to the serious process of enjoying themselves...
