Residents enjoyed a private mystery tour with a transport-themed twist. With coats on and wallets at the ready, the group set off not knowing exactly where they were headed. The surprise was revealed along the way as everyone travelled aboard the historic Christchurch tram, taking in the city sights in a relaxed and scenic way.

A lovely afternoon was spent at a ladies’ lunch at Lume Restaurant, located at Peppers Clearwater Resort. Overlooking the lake and golf course, our ladies enjoyed a relaxed and special get-together, with delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of laughter shared over a long lunch.

We had an incredible time at the recent Steam Extravaganza! We learned all about the fascinating age of steam-powered machinery - team machines, horse-drawn wagons, and live demonstrations of blacksmithing, sawmilling, and stone crushing filled the day with excitement and discovery.

We had an incredible morning at the Air Force Museum, where we enjoyed a delightful morning tea followed by an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. We were granted rare access to witness restoration processes that are usually hidden from the public eye. A big thank you to the museum team for sharing their passion and expertise with us!

We had a fantastic time at WasteEd with Kate! 💧♻️ Kate made water and waste easy to understand, breaking down big ideas into simple, practical tips we could use every day. From where water comes from to where waste goes (and why it matters!), everyone left feeling informed, inspired, and ready to make a difference.

Residents from Burlington, Banbury Park, and Alpine View came together three times during March for TRILife month. Each village hosted a different activity with Burlington running a lively Step class, Alpine View leading a fun Dance-Fit session, and Banbury organising an exciting relay race, where the winners proudly walked away with a trophy!

Residents recently went to a Ladies Lunch at Dune Cafe in New Brighton! Set just a few blocks back from the beach, Dune is a bright, relaxed spot with a friendly local feel—perfect for a long lunch and a good catch-up. We loved the great coffee, tasty cabinet treats, and the easy-going atmosphere.

Residents came together in the Clubhouse for a live talk with John Rogers. We loved hearing the remarkable history of the many attempts to reach the North Pole—an engaging journey through big ambition, extreme conditions, and unforgettable exploration stories.

A huge thank you to John for sharing his time and expertise, and to all residents who came along and made it such a great talk!

We recently took a guided tour of the iconic Christ Church Cathedral, ahead of the next stage of its long-awaited restoration. The visit was a unique opportunity to step inside the historic landmark and learn more about its rich history, the impact of the earthquakes, and the plans to carefully restore and strengthen the building. It was a great chance to reminisce and a rare opportunity to see the cathedral up close before the restructuring work continues.

We recently took part in a guided tour of the new Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre—New Zealand’s largest aquatic, indoor recreation and leisure facility. The visit provided an opportunity to explore the impressive venue and its amenities, and everyone enjoyed seeing the space come to life.

Alpine View residents enjoyed a wonderful Dolphin Tour Cruise in Akaroa, where they observed sea animals in their natural environment. Afterwards, they savoured a delightful lunch at Ma Maison Restaurant overlooking the harbour.
