Visual Communications & Author ♡ Finding union between all my passions to evoke meaning, change & transformation. Wellbeing has always been the cornerstone of Kate's life, sparked by her keen interest in nutrition and movement. Coupled with her love for design, Kate earned a Bachelor's degree in design and visual communications while also pursuing diplomas in sports science, group fitness, and later, The Bikram Yoga Method. Each of these passions she loved equally for their ability to bring change and transformation. In 2008, Kate's personal life and career united as wellness took centre stage with the opening of her first Bikram Yoga Studio in Christchurch. Then, almost a decade later, in 2016 Kate embarked on a new journey and enrolled at the The Institute of Integrative Nutrition’s comprehensive training as an Integrative Nutritionist, along with certifications in gut and women’s hormone health. She is studying again to further deepen her knowledge in the wellness space while publishing her second book, "Your Healthiest You." Through this book, Kate aims to inspire others to embrace an integrative approach to health and wellness, empowering them to understand their vital role in their own wellbeing. She offers simple yet powerful tools to help people make profound shifts in their lives. They say the key to happiness is finding what you love to do so you never have to work a day in your life. Or, more likely, you’ll work really hard, but the work will be worth it. For Kate, the 'key' to her happiness lies in supporting others through an integrative approach to nutrition and movement. Having faced many personal challenges herself, Kate knows firsthand the incredible transformation that occurs when we address the root causes of our health issues and trust in the healing process. Living a healthy lifestyle is something we all aspire to, and it doesn’t have to be complicated. I'm not one to promote quick fixes or revolutionary diets — instead, I’m passionate about sharing a balanced, sustainable approach to eating, movement, and mindfulness. • WHAT NOURISH MEANS TO ME •

Nourishing the mind and body is so essential. Every day, I make it a point to be kind to myself, listening to the whispers of my body and mind to learn and grow. Flow Wellbeing in Christchurch has become a huge part of my renewed journey. The studio offers a little taste of everything and is a wonderful space to unlock the power and importance of self-care. I know for me, moving in this way always leaves me feeling more connected and inspired to nourish my body properly. I feel incredibly fortunate to be welcomed as part of such a diverse team of wonderful humans pioneering this space in Christchurch for everyone to enjoy.

• LIFE UNFOLDS IN CHAPTERS •

Life is always changing, we grow, we change, and we step into new versions of ourselves — one chapter at a time. And right now, I’m stepping into a new chapter with ‘Your Healthiest You.’ and with it, an even deeper commitment to supporting people on their paths to wellness, whether it be navigating health concerns or simply wanting to elevate their overall wellbeing.

As a Certified Integrative Nutritionist, Health Coach, Yoga Teacher, Designer, and author, I’ve spent my career exploring the many layers of health and wellbeing. And now, as I pursue further education to become a Registered Clinical Nutritionist, I’m deepening my understanding even more, by weaving together holistic and evidence-based solutions to help guide others toward insightful wellness choices.

The truth is, health is a deeply personal journey — one that reflects every part of who we are. Throughout my life, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges, and each one has offered profound lessons in the landscape of health and well-being. In this work that I feel called to do, I hope to inspire and guide others in taking charge of their health. This begins with understanding how our body’s respond to different foods and combinations of foods so we can nourish it in a way that feels good for us. But, my approach goes beyond nutrition — it’s also about moving mindfully, getting quality sleep, managing stress and truly living in tune with our body’s so we can make positive, lasting changes in a way that supports our whole being.
