Descents don't create knee pain - they expose it
A lot of runners have no problemo handling the flats, and they can typically grunt uphill
It's the downhills when weak points show up.
Itβs also not a sign of having 'bad knees' - it's just a capacity problem:
- Quads that canβt absorb force
- Tendons that canβt handle load
- Hips that canβt stabilize under fatigue
Soooooo amigos, stop trying to βstretch it outβ or chalking it up to age and start building them instead.
In my athletes programs, exercises like this show up all the time to build range, capacity, and true resilience in and around the knees.
Have some spicy knees but don't quite know how to fit these exercises into a structure that makes sense?
Comment KNEES and Iβll send you my full 3-phase Knee Rebuild framework I use with clients to make downhill feel safe and way more fun ποΈ
