I have just attended an incredible talk by Dr Kathryn Mannix about how we talk about death. Working in aged care means that our team often work with people who are dying. It is a privilege when we can do something that is helpful, and is always sad but sometimes lovely. She recommends these videos for everyone who would like to understand more about the end of life.

We are launching our first ever MS Get a Head Start course in October in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This incredible course aims to empower people living with Multiple Sclerosis with exercise and education - all in a small group so you can meet others living their lives with MS. We are SO excited to have a FES RT300 bike in clinic now. Several of our clients with neurological conditions have already started their journey with this incredible bike. The RT300 uses functional electrical stimulation to address muscle atrophy (wasting), spasticity, swelling and help with muscle re-education. Have a wee look at this link from Restorative Therapies.

Giggles amongst the hard work last week! Camilla's presentation on exercise for people with Parkinson's was aimed at physio assistants, but some of our physios couldn't help popping in for some extra learning.
