Having a lovely time here, flower arranging, painting with Ola our new art teacher and making chutney with our pears!. A beautiful picnic in the University gardens too!

Today we had our wonderful Scottish themed Music Therapy celebrations! We had a fantastic afternoon of music, led by the wonderful Registered Music therapist Liz Bolwell, Jane on vocals and Gordon on the harmonica, with special guest Willie McArthur on various instruments😁 Followed by Noelines homemade shortbread!!

We have been celebrating MUSIC THERAPY WEEK!!🎶🎵🎼🎹🎸🎤🎻 We will be holding a music celebration with our Music Therapy group at 1.45pm Tuesday 22nd. All welcome. Our theme is Scottish🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥁🪗

What a perfect day for a bus trip to the Groynes! Canadian geese, Paradise Ducks, Pukeko, Mallards, birds, the little black ducks with the white bill's...? Then to top it off two back swans with their cygnets. What a treat🥰🥰🥰

Hi guys! Sorry it's been so long! We have navigated through covid and now heading into winter. We are doing well and looking after each other as always! Here are some of the things we have been up to...baking and making chutney with apples and feijoas donated by families, bus trips through amazing Lyttelton fog, visits from the dogs, music and general Homestead fun😊🥰🤩

Today we had a special Happy Hour to celebrate a special resident who moved in expecting to live here for the forseeable, she came in a wheel chair and with a lot of hard work and determination has been rehabilitated to the point she is ready to go home and WALK out of the front door! This is a massive achievement on all parts and we are incredibly proud to be part of the journey🥰🧡🧡🧡
